A Hobbit's Journal - Let There Be Music

When I am by myself, entirely alone, mostly during the night when I cannot sleep, it is at such time that my music flow best. This is my reply to darkness:to make music more intensely, more beautifully, than ever before. Since returning home my evenings have been filled with musical notes and words for new songs. Where does this new music coming from? The answer is very simple, it comes from the heart.

It is no coincidence we call ourselves Hobbit Heart when we play music. Each song and melody has deep meaning to us, memories, events, friends, are all written on the pentagram. It is truly special when we are together, when we are all holding our instruments, ready to play - that few seconds of silence just before the first notes fill the air.

So we will be playing again, yes we will because that makes us happy. It wont be anything too grand, but we are getting back together next Sunday after dinner to practice. We are older, we are probably a bit out of tune, but we are still Hobbit Heart. Dear music of the Shire, thank you kindly for always healing my spirit, and raising me up. Through you I can say all those things I cannot say with simple words.

Just an other little piece of news. My brother Tahitoa sent words he and his family may move back to the Shire. I cannot express how happy I was to read his letter. This is not yet confirmed, and it may be sometime before I see him again, but my goodness me, Tahi was and still is one of the best flute players of the Shire and as much part of Hobbit Heart as I am.
