Domruth stands in the middle of the circle that is in the middle of the water that is more than knee deep. Around her are the ruins and from all over one can hear chanting in a strange language. Domruth holds two curved swords and her raven black hair flow to her right but... There is no wind.
Lheuwen mutters in a breath, “So. Who’s going first?” Before she even finishes, Caithryth runs in past her, drawing her swords as she does. Arthasdir slowly draws his left blade in a controlled manner, his eyes fixed ahead, moving after Caithryth towards Domruth. Lheuwen summons her strength and follows Caithryth towards Domruth. Caithryth gets slowed down by the water, splashing it everywhere as she makes her way towards the black-haired woman, as do the others, but that doesn’t stop them from making their way to her.
Carmillia curses at the water, fear filling her eyes. She takes out her daggers, though stands near the edge of the water, looking petrified. She paces, trying to build up the courage to cross the water to Domruth.
Mornenion would run his fingers over the arrow notched to his bow, trying to place a curse on it, muttering in an ancient type of elvish. Mornenion feels the urge to break his arrow. Mornenion would, as he tries to curse the arrow, snap it in his fingers. He blinks as he didn't mean to break it, yet he did.
Lheuwen bellows at Domruth, “What exactly is your game witch?!” Carmillia moves around, still eyeing the water with fear, despite something much scarier on the other side of it. Arthasdir drags himself through the water, his armour slowing his slightly. Caithryth doesn't slow down as she charges Domruth, in one of the slowest, wettest charges ever recorded. She swings wildly at her enemy, driven by madness and anger.
Carmillia looks down at the water, tears falling from her eyes, as she is so afraid it has brought her to tears. She paces around, mumbling to herself and crying. She moves towards the water every now and then, but jumps back as the fear gets too much. She wonders if she can manage to throw her throwing daggers at Domruth from the edge of the water, but it would be too risky, as she may hit one of her fellows. She stops, for a few moments and then takes several deep breaths, before looking out at the water. Her expression hardens and the tears stop falling from her eyes. She takes one more deep breath then runs at the water, letting out a shriek of fear and courage mixed into one. She throws herself at the water, jumping and flying through the air and splashing into the water, sending water flying in all directions. She thrashes her way through the water, screaming loudly a fear-driven battlecry and makes it over to Domruth, filled with a new found courage.
The woman raises her blades and points both at Lheuwen, then cracks her head to the right. Domruth ducks, avoiding Caithryth’s swing at her and slashes back towards Caithryth's stomach.
Mornenion would take another arrow from his quiver and tries to curse it as he was trying to do with the last one. He mutters words in Quenya, cursing the arrow to try to make Domruth unable to move from where she stands. He notches the arrow to his bow and pulls back the string, waiting for an opening to shoot Domruth with it.
Lheuwen ducks whatever magic Domruth used upon her, snarling like a wild beast at the blind warrior in fury, “Oh! You are going to pay!” Lheuwen charges in with her spear and a war-cry. Arthasdir pulls himself through the water quickly, bringing his right blade up and down towards the woman with haste. Carmillia feels the urge to dip her head in the water and she does it for some seconds. Domruth parries Lheuwen's spear and sends a kick at her stomach. Arthasdir's attack finds its target and Domruth stops, turns to look at him tilting her head to the right. Her empty eye-sockets show no emotion and then a punch comes into his face. Caithryth misses and overextends wildly - and pays the price as Domruth's riposte slashes her over her stomach, cutting deep into the leather. She winces and almost loses the grip of her weapon as the pain of her old wound pumps through her veins, numbing her senses.
Lheuwen blocks Domruth's kick with her shield confidently. Arthasdir takes the blow to his face, his helm clanging against his skull. Carmillia stops, peering into the water and looking at her reflection. She doesn’t notice until it’s too late that her face has hit the water and she is struggling to breathe. She pulls her head out, coughing out the water with a panicked look, turning back to Domruth with another fear filled scream. Lheuwen moves to her own right and forwards to outflank Domruth, preparing her next attack.
As Mornenion sees a clear moment to shoot Domruth, he releases the arrow. It whistles through the air and hits her in the middle of the chest. It doesn’t make her bleed, but the woman suddenly stands still, unable to move.
Mornenion, as Domruth freezes, reach back and pull another arrow from his quiver, notching it to the bow and aims. He lets the arrow fly and it hits Domruth in the shoulder. Carmillia sneaks up to the witch and take out a dagger and goes in to stab her. Arthasdir shakes his head letting out a roar of pain and thrust his left blade towards her shoulder. Lheuwen lunges with her spear - but her shoulder twinges, and with a gasp of pain, her stab goes wide. Caithryth lets out a guttural, very angry shout and brings her dagger around from down low to try and stab Domruth into her side with a violent thrust.
Many hits finds their targets and Domruth gives the impression that is dazed. But she ducks and an arrow passes over hair and a slow torrent of air reaches Lheuwen's cheek when the arrow passes by it. Domruth stays in that pose and takes a quick step ahead intending to pass by Arthasdir. She puts her right leg behind his right and tries to elbow his head to drop him down. Arthasdir pushes against her hard, holding his ground. Lheuwen attempts to stun her with a blow from her shield-boss, moving in close, and using her uninjured left arm.
Mornenion would move around to try to get a clearer shot of Domruth, wading through the water with an exasperated expression. Mornenion's will is strong and he remembers the inscription on the tomb earlier. Mornenion would pause, hand on the string of his bow. He lets out a sigh, turns, moves to somewhere a little hidden and takes out an arrow. He closes his eyes for a moment.
Carmillia takes out a small throwing knife and spins it around her fingers before stabbing it into Lheuwen’s upper right leg. Lheuwen notices Carm turning on her - but she is mid-attack against Domruth and cannot protect herself in time. Lheuwen sees Carm's knife enter the soft part of her leg. She feels no pain in the moment - but her leg gives way almost immediately and she sinks down. Carmillia lets go of the dagger after she realised what she had done, eyes wide with shock.
Arthasdir brings his left blade down and then drives it up towards Domruths belly. Despite the hits that she has taken the woman seems unaffected. She steps away from Arthasdir's sword and it comes out of her stomach all bloody. She attempts to slash at Caithryth's legs and then slash against Arthasdir's torso. Arthasdir brings his left blade to parry hers, before bringing his right up and down, aiming to disarm her. The woman locks her curved sword with Arthasdir's and grins. Then swings her sword trying to disarm him instead.
Darkness takes Lheuwen. With a snarl, she grabs Carmillia's leg with considerable force, attempting to drag her to the ground. Carmillia pushes herself away from Lheuwen before the betwitched Dunlending can grab her. To make distance between her and Lheuwen, she curves around to the other side of Domruth and tries to slash at the witch.
Caithryth shouts out, angrily. "She bleeds! We can kill her!" and easily deflects the low arcing slash of domruth, using her momentum to try and follow up with another swift slash against Domruth's arms. Arthasdir watches his left blade fly into the air, quickly raising his right he would try to defend but feel her blade cut in between his armour. Lheuwen pounds the ground in frustration as the blackness recedes from her mind... there is a dull pain in her thigh. She ignores it, and snatches up her spear again, stabbing upwards at Domruth's hip. After disarming Arthasdir, Domruth holds her blades in an cross to defend against Caithryth and tries to push forward, trying to stab her with both ends. Carmillia's hit and Lheuwen's don't seem to affect her at all.
Mornenion would put the arrow down, as well as his bow. He'd take his helm off and pull his hood down. He walks around the side of the rock, a concerned look on his face. He holds up his hand and points to Domruth, chanting in Quenya, words that translate to a curse to trap Domruth's soul. As he chants though, he starts to pale, as if it is draining him. Mornenion chants, for some moments he chants louder than the other incomprehensible chant. He keeps going and feels the strength of his words. But he doesn't see Domruth affected. He tries harder, but then he realises that she has no soul. She died along ago. Now it's just an empty shell with an evil spirit in it.
Arthasdir roars as he moves forward, getting close to the woman, he would move to punch his blade guard into her face. Lheuwen throws herself forward, trying to grab both Domruth's legs and bring her down to the ground, as she just tried on Carmillia. Said thief raises her dagger and attempts to hit Domruth’s right shoulder. Caithryth grins a toothy grin as she keeps the blades away from her. Then, when they get out of this deadlock, she feigns a swift attack with her dagger again, only to thrust with her long steel at Domruth's body.
Domruth nimbly dodges all attacks except Arthasdir's that disorients her for a moment. That keeps her busy and Caithryth's blade pierces her and comes out from the other side. The woman grunts loudly and in anger. The ground shakes violently. Caithryth laughs madly and somewhat delirious. Arthasdir pulls his arm back and punches her again, attempting to just bash her face in.
Mornenion would widen his eyes, stumbling to lean against the rock. He breathes heavily, taking a moment to think. Then he tries to look around for a tomb or something that could contain Domruth.
With Caithryth's blade still into her Domruth dashes forth and around the company. She starts running fast and around them and slashes against the back of Arthasdir's knees. Then she slashes against Lheuwen's back and finally she stops behind Carmillia and kicks her back, towards Arthasdir.
Mornenion fails to see something that looks like a tomb. But he remembers that the tomb that they saw earlier was on a small tower that was in the middle of other towards, much like a place of power. The tomb was on top of it and the inscription was in Sindarin, which language has power in itself as he knows. Also, the tomb must be position in a place to be under the moon at certain moments.
Arthasdir lets out a roar of pain, stumbling forward a little as his right knee is cut. Carmillia falls over onto Arthasdir as the both fall. The thief quickly scrambles away from the man, pulling herself up. Lheuwen feels a sudden line of searing pain lash the back of her jerkin and is thrown face-down on the murky stone. She scrambles for her spear and shield, trying to get up, but her leg will not support her.
After she kicks Carmillia, Domruth pulls the sword out and tosses it to Caithryth, then grins and beckons her. Caithryth goes after Domruth, keeping her short sword in her right hand, ready to parry, while she tries to get her sword back, preferably in a very painful way. Carmillia takes out a small dagger and tries to stab Domruth in the chest with it. Arthasdir turns, lurching forward and aiming to drive his blade through the back of the woman’s neck. Lheuwen takes her shield with both hands and brings the rim down as hard as she can on Domruth's ankle, trying to break the bone and unbalance her.
Mornenion would walk back around, picking up his bow which floats in the water. He walks back to the entrance and with a few words in Quenya tries to make the illusion of his eyes being solid black and a slight light emanating from him, before yelling in Sindarin, "Over here! Face someone of equal power!"
Domruth turns around abruptly, disregarding Caithryth and grabs Carmillia's hand. She drops the sword from her right hand and attempts to slap the girl. If she gets slapped she'll carry the mark for months if she survives. Carmillia screams out as Domruth slaps her, feeling like a thousand needles pieced the skin on her cheek. Carmillia, filled with adrenaline, quickly takes out a small dagger and tries to stab Domruth’s arm so she releases her. Then she grabs her sword again but before she turns around Arthasdir's blade pierces her neck. Not too deep though, in goes in a little, one for two or three centimetres and before going in deeper Domruth gets shaken by Lheuwen's shield which hits the warrior's tough boots. Domruth turns to Mornenion who has black eyes and, while the earth is shaking to prevent everyone from moving by trying to stay on their feet, she walks towards the Elf. One would say intrigued.
Mornenion would start moving backwards, down the stairs behind him, trying to lure Domruth towards him.
Lheuwen grabs up her spear again and fails to get on her feet and follow Domruth as the ground shakes. Caithryth tries to stay on her feet through the shakes, switching her short steel from the right to the left hand, before she pursues Domruth. Arthasdir, despite the ground shaking, brings his blade back, taking it in both hands and swinging hard, to hack at her neck.
Mornenion would shout once more, in Sindarin, " Come, Domruth!"
Lheuwen lurches to her feet and limps after Domruth. She won't reach her yet though. Caithryth follows the evil woman and tries to ram her dagger into her back. Carmillia, despite the stinging pain in her check, quickly spins the little dagger in her hand and then tries to stab Domruth’s right side.
Arthasdir's blade does hit the target with force, which disorients her and she keeps going slowly, stumbling on her way there and staggering. Carmillia's blade digs on her side and Domruth drops the right side but keeps going now with more difficulty. Caithryth comes with as much force as she could muster after what she has sustained. Her dagger digs under Domruth's shoulder blade and Caithryth manages to give her a push with her shoulder due to the momentum. Domruth drops the other sword and staggers forward. Both women fall. Caithryth on top. Mornenion's cry makes Domruth look around, trying to find him. Her face is filled with horror though and everyone notices that the chanting has stopped. Mornenion would notice that soon the moon will be over the tomb. Domruth screams and then faints, bleeding profusely.
