And so did Aragorn son of Arathorn gather as many soldiers as possible to come with him to the Black Gate of Mordor and fight one last time against the Host of Mordor. The two friends, Ornessar and Katrandil, joined him too.
There, they met a defiled Númenórean, called "The Mouth of Sauron", who conversed with Aragorn. This event started the battle. The Black Gate opened, and Aragorn turned towards his allies.
Hold your ground! Hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers, I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!, Aragorn said, and he rushed towards their foes, and so did the rest of the Gondorians, Rohirrim, and the two friends.
And so the battle began. Ornessar and Katrandil, though, had to split up; since they were not on the same Slag-hill.
The battle, though, did not last long, and there were not many losses. Indeed, the ground started shaking, the Great Eye was gone and Barad-Dur and Mordor were torn apart. The Ringbearer had fulfilled his goal. Sauron was defeated.
After the battle, they all went back to Minas Tirith. Not long after, Aragorn son of Arathorn was officially crowned King of Gondor once and for all, and the White Tree flowered again.
