Captain's Quick Report: Hoe-down at the Yard Party with the Evendim Hillbillies
An article published in the Bramblebury Gazette paper early this month had an interview with Master Onionfarmer Pete, where details on the Evendim Hillbillies coming appearance at today's Bird and Baby Yard Party was revealed.
Hinting that the music would be that sort described as an 'Oatbarton style hoe-down', it was also mentioned Miss Emylou Haggins, a Hobbit whom has often been associated with the Evendim Hillbillies when not busy elsewhere, had been contacted in advance and hopes were she would have the free time to appear with the band again.
And without a doubt today, the music was as described; and Miss Emylou did appear alongside the Evendim Hillbillies. With each musician donning not costumes I suspect, but likely actual working clothes from the humble community of Oatbarton -- just south at the beginning of Evendim's borders -- from start to finish this was a fantastic night of dancing and music; there were songs about the very Bird and Baby Yard Party event itself, and even a newly composed song gathered from 'luvericks' and poems submitted by participants from the February OAKS last year. Master Elf Finsamidor's was mentioned, as was Hobbits Master Everbrock, Master Janco, Master Ponso (also known to have won the Summer Poetry Competition In The Shire last year), and also Miss Lina of the Biscuity Burrow and Grand Order of the Lost Mathom. There must have been a poem from Master Simbo as well at the time, I almost vividly remember him reciting one last year; especially with him being a major contributor to The Grand Book of Songs and Poetry with Miss Lina -- which I often see new additions added regularly. But looking through my past reports, it appears I didn't have time to cover that event last year in a standard Quick Report. But I most surely remember attending! Or so I think... might someday soon be time to dip back into the old archives of past documents, drawings, and rough sketches stored away back at my office, hoho!
I cannot recommend enough the joys of being part of this merry atmosphere where music rings throughout the air, and so many of the Free Peoples come together during such times to enjoy in great harmony and peaceful, but lively appreciation of songs, melodies, and musicians that bring it all together into hours of outstanding events throughout Middle-earth. And of course to those whom are responsible for the organizing of the gatherings themselves, either individuals, groups, organizations, entire kinships or any combination of such: they too play immense roles deserving of thanks for allowing such doors to public and cheerful celebrations to happen so often... and so uplifting in happiness among friends, good community, and outstanding welcome to good folk of heart.

P.S.
The next while to come harken some more interesting events of note that have been advertised as public -- just in the next day or so there will be three major events known to be happening; 'The Wedding of Zag and Dana' just made itself known to me recently, that will take place north of Bree, in the Bree Festival Grounds; Hobbits in Bramblebury will be celebrating the 'Opening of the Bramblebury Crafting Centre and Library'; and at the same time back in Bree-town there will be the "Polnolunie" presents concert "Sky of Gondor". There may be a few hours to spare between the two events in Bree-land, so there may be a chance I might be able to at least drop by to both, with any luck in this Bree Captain's schedule! In a few more days after, there is the 'February OAKS.....This time the talent is home grown!' -- or also known as the 'February OAKS featuring the Aleford Band' if your a reader of the Bramblebury Gazette. It's also been announced through posters and event listings that 'The White Flames play music from Laterna Magica' near the final day of this Month. Plenty to do, lots to see!

Viewing the albums embedded below is more geared for those folks looking to get a /slightly/ more play-by-play spirit of how things unfolded. In fact, I only recommend having a browse through if for some reason, you have an urge to well... just look at a lot and lot of screenshots -- many of the shot angles/perspectives being repeated in other screenshots but at different times during the event, etc! Thanks for reading. ))
