I bought this old leather diary more on a whim than anything else but now I shall use it to keep a record of my journeys with The Bloody Dawn. I am not one to share my thoughts and much less to record them like this but somehow it feels appropriate.
What better time to start writing in this book than now? The beginning of our campaign into the Misty Mountains is drawing close and while I'm sure most of my companions will be saying their goodbyes to loved ones I find myself with an abundance of time in which to pack and prepare.
I do not know what we will find on our journey though I expect our path to be a difficult and dangerous one. I have come to trust and even enjoy the company of some of the members of our organisation and I feel reassured in the knowledge that they are all capable in battle. I hope that I can do them proud and keep them safe as I know they will do for me.
