Hammer returns to Imladris

It is rumored that under orders from Lord Anglachelm of House Vanimar, The Order of Hammer was deployed for a patrol to the Misty Mountains with a mission to scout for enemy presence and assess the threat from vile mountain goblins. After spending two harsh weeks in the snowy peaks of Hithaeglir, the Order has returned to the fair valley of Imladris.

Upon their return, the warriors reported an increase in goblin numbers and they say that the Misty Mountains are teeming with goblin activity, presumably preparations for the freezing winter conditions.

Mountain goblins inhabiting the tunnels underneath the mountains are known to lay dormant during winter months and come spring, they emerge from their caves and go down the mountain to sack and pillage the surrounding lands.

However, warriors also claim to have struck a hard blow to the goblin clans. Elves say that the warriors of the Hammer have penetrated into the goblin tunnels, killing countless goblins, collapsing their access tunnels and burning supply piles.

It is also said that the leader of the goblins was slain during the raid and was beheaded by Lord Veryacano, its severed head hung up as a warning to all goblin kind.

With the goblin winter preparations severely undermined and their tunnels collapsed by the hammer of Vanimar, elves can feel a little more at ease this winter.
