Moria

Where the Gods have never trod

Silence. Angelnarth could find but one word to describe his passage through the depths. Footsteps through the relinquished halls. A faint smile to his companion every time he turned to watch her relentless face, make sure she is well and still on track. It has been two days, walking from one lantern to the next. Two days of listening to nothing but their careful footsteps and steady breathing. Through forgotten bridges, abandoned cities and staircases.

Toward The Maerc

It was a long ride. A hard, long ride. Southward, through known lands first, then less known lands, and eventually finds herself at the doors of the Dwarrowdelf, discussing with the dwarves about the old contract they had with Irwthryth. Good man, luckily he kept contact with these folks, so she will be able to pass, and with some escort, through the dreaded mines.

Reclaming Lost Treasures

This week in the news our reporters from Bree have heard talks of  a very secretive company of dwarves ready to travel to infamous Mines of Moria to reclaim a valuable lost treasure. Is there really such thing in the dark depths of Khazad-dûm ?

"Uhm, let me think about it…should I bring the red gem to the Iron Garrison Guards and the blue one to the Iron Garrison Miners or vice versa?

Ed' i'ear ar' elenea! How much longer must I keep on riding a stinking goat  around these dark halls, only to satisfy the greed for gold of the Nornalie? How many nights will pass with no  light of the moon and the stars above me?

Of the Journey

Poetry

The dwarves, riders and the elf
Passed under the mountain dark and tall,
Within copper, iron and mithril's glimmer
Hasteful were the steps of the rider.

Down they descended deep into the Mines,
To Moria, the Great Delving of Dwarves
Blade, arrow, axe and the hilt's glitter
They walked as the tunnels darkened ever.

Journey Through the Dark

In Echad Dunann, I heard deep voices of a company of dwarves accompanied by the sounds of hoofs of fine steeds. There at last, Master Raggolgrimbob was come with a company of dwarves and riders from Rohan.

-Carefully written Sindarin handwriting cover the first part of the page in black ink.- I found the resting place of Durins Bane. Even in death, the creature causes one to feel overcome by a DEVASTATING feeling of naught but dread and despair if you stand any less than ten yards from it. Even from a distance, the feeling lingers in the air. Heavy and oppressing.

Journal #13 - Turning back

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I am feeling better today. The last days I have not been able to write due to my wound, but it is slowly getting better. I should not be lifting my arm much yet or do heavy work, but I am glad I can write again.
Andswaru is asleep, I am glad for it. He has been working hard, even harder than usual to make up for my disability. I hope I will soon be able to work normally again, for him. I know he did more than his share of watches and more than his share of fighting on our journey so far. He does not deserve to have to take care of me as well, on top of everything.
