There was a chill in the night air as all the folk were returning to their homes. Many drunk from their drinking, and everyone else weary from their reveling. The dim lamps shone yellow upon the dirt paths and only two figures remained out that night. They stood side by side upon the path before the Mead hall, silent, still as statues. 

Of Meadred's Sons and Daughters

This is a tale of family that has found itself with plight. Meadred and his wife live still in the Riddermark, and Meadred still rides among the Rohirrim to defend his land. His eldest son went missing without word, and when the war grew greater he sent the rest of his children South where they would be safe.
