They arrive at the old tavern in the Lone-lands, and eventually they find all who Avaru reasonably expected to find. As for the mercenary - he unexpectedly finds the one called Calagand Silversong, an old familiar captain from Bree, now playing his lute in the old Forsaken Inn for some reason.

Jon is no longer at Tinnudir, as I eventually learned from the Dunedain I met with there. “Eventually” is indeed the right word to use, as it took some time for them to see that I was either most likely on their side, or that it would cause no real harm if they told me. I ended up telling them that their prisoner was a very old friend, which they might’ve thought to be somewhat unlikely.
