In the afternoon, before returning to her parent's old house, Ealendil visits the carpenters in Celondim to contract them for some of the much needed repairs. New window boards are needed, and the roof is in dire need of repairs too.
Ealendil seeks out master Bregedúr to make the arrangements.
While lady Ealendil has ridden down to the docks of Celondim, Maedhrathin ignores his duties inspecting the roof, retrieves a couple bottles of that old wine from the cellar, and ventures out into the vineyard.
Here, in the shade of the old vines, he passes the day entertaining one of the local residents with his harp.
