Ealendil has risen early, long before the sun, and climbed to the top of a small hill overlooking the valley wherein rests the old house. From the summit she greets the approaching dawn with music from her childhood days of Doriath.

As the repairs on the house have begun in earnest, I have followed lady Ealendil to the market in Duillond. No need to be in the way of master Bregedúr and his workmen. However, Ealendil is very quiet about the reasons for this rather sudden trip, only mentioning that she had caught wind of an old acquaintance of hers that had come down from the Vale Thrain, and she much wanted to meet with him.

In the afternoon, before returning to her parent's old house, Ealendil visits the carpenters in Celondim to contract them for some of the much needed repairs. New window boards are needed, and the roof is in dire need of repairs too.

Ealendil seeks out master Bregedúr to make the arrangements.

While lady Ealendil has ridden down to the docks of Celondim, Maedhrathin ignores his duties inspecting the roof, retrieves a couple bottles of that old wine from the cellar, and ventures out into the vineyard.

Here, in the shade of the old vines, he passes the day entertaining one of the local residents with his harp.

Early summer in Lindon, in an attempt to escape the repairs on her parent's old house, Ealendil has ridden down to the docks at Celondim to negotiate with the local fishermen for some of their fine catch. Trading gossip with Drambin and learning news of late makes the day pass quickly.

... not all past memories have to be somber. There was a time in which she was carefree and happy, and a memory such as this is what spurs her onwards today...
