The rich, warm soil parted as her hands worked through them. In the numerous holes she had made, there rested single seeds and saplings. Some of these she recognized from previous ages of gardening when passage into the Greenwood was easier. Others were products of change in time and land, unknown potentials waiting to bud. In Eliriael's eyes shined the full extent of the hope she had for these young plants.

Second Age; 1716, a week after the encounter…

Undómion had a sense of paranoia about leaving his Talan, and remained on the platform within the Mallorn. He felt humiliated. How could he be bested by this one maid?

“You have the looks of a love-struck elf.”

‘No, I do not! So much happened too fast…the forest is enchanted!’ “Perhaps.”

The forest was special in its own way…even the inhabitants. Still, he should have at least kept composure when saying his name.

‘…I expect highly of you to make your own passage over the Hithaeglir. It is always me that must take the journey to “your forest”! Why must I always be the one to freeze my hair off?’

“Mm…it is good for you; are you not the one part of Imladris’ guard?” Undómion read on in quiet amusement, ignoring a couple of hawks sitting on his head and shoulders.

Green blades of grass caressed the elleth's bare feet as she walked across the clearing before swaying back into their upright stance as if no one had passed by. The mellyrn leaves high above in the canopy changed the lighting of the forest floor and illuminated the strains of gold in her hair. For once, it was not held up close to her ears with tiny jeweled pins and ornaments. Only starry white flowers graced the crown of her head, as her long tresses freely cascaded down her back.
