Eliriael was born in the year 506 of the First Age to Alyatirmo and Lady Elrinarë in Gondolin. In the blessed realm of Valinor, her parents were born and wedded in the years before the rising of the Sun. Yet, at the failing of the light of the two trees, they made their journey back to Middle Earth, unwilling to remain behind without Lord Fingolfin and his kin. Their way across the Sea and in Middle Earth was treacherous and Alyatirmo first took up arms to protect his wife and kin. They followed Lord Turgon to Vinyamar in Nevrast until he built the fair city of Gondolin in the hidden vale of Tumladen. In Gondolin, Alyatirmo and Elrinarë lived peacefully and gave birth to a daughter, who they named Elirië - a singing star to bring hope and guidance to her people.
Eliriael grew full of laughter and mirth in her first three years in the white city. As soon as she walked, she danced, and the moment she learned words, she sang. She spent much of her time following her mother Elrinarë, accompanying Lady Idril, daughter of King Turgon. At other times, Elrinarë abided in healing houses, tending the hurt and sick. Here, Eliriael trailed her mother's steps, healing in her own way. She healed sorrows and hurts of the heart, filling rooms with flowers and giving them freely as gifts. She often sang and danced for the merriment of the elves, who were being tended by Elrinarë.
Flowers, sunlight, stars, moonlight, song, winds
to share love and joy to heal others' outward and inward hurts
Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the heart.
