Nalo, is originally from Buckland, near the Old Forest. He came to fiddling in a musical family in which his old ancestor Harbro Tunnelly ( Nalo has taken the coloration of his wine-stained fiddle as a surname to hide his adventuring from well-meaning relatives) is a legend. The old Harfoot earned a magical stone whistle from the old Kings of Numenor for services rendered that could soothe the savage beast or calm the most belligerent human. No one knows what the service was but the memory always put a glint of youth in the old Gammer's eye. Nalo intends to find the whistle and create his own legend in the process (which he'll reveal to select descendants of his...).
