As the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains Regiment return from their adventures in Rhovanion, they find themselves traversing a very different Shire from the one they left months ago. From the Bridge of Stonebows to the Yondershire, the westbound path of the returning expedition unveils a worrying truth: there is trouble in the Shire.
Set in the current time period of LOTRO's story and foreshadowing the Scouring of the Shire, Trouble in the Shire is a series of unscripted events that offers a different take on Hobbit-centric roleplay; it casts familiar locations in a new light, and allows for the exploration of places in the Shire that have been cut from the game, or feature in other adaptations of Professor Tolkien's Middle-earth.
