Meldanya...?
Estarfin joined us, giving his greetings to Earcalie. He sat down beside me.
"Earcalie does important work, guarding the caravans from the coast, meldanya. But I would have her take extra care." I said.
"I don't know how important it is, it keeps me busy, though if you say men entered Lindon, then maybe it will become more important than I thought" Earcalie replied. Then she halted. She blinked. She tilted her head.
Parnard continued nibbling meat from the bone of the roast boar, and swallowing wine as if nothing strange had happened.
".. Meldanya?" Earcalie finally asked.
I blinked myself. Had I not told her?
Parnard burst out laughing into his wineglass.
"Oh...I did not tell you."
"Obviously not. "She looked from me to Estarfin, and back.
Parnard whisked up the wine bottle, and strode around to fill all the wineglasses. "We must drink."
"Estarfin and I are betrothed, Earcalie," I explained. "In Imladris, at Midwinter."
