Merry Met in Yávië

Mid-month of Yávië, come and celebrate Yavanna's bounty with the early fruits of the harvest beside the lake in Imladris!

Date:
September 1st, 2023
Time:
3:00 pm /servertime (9:00 pm CET)
Location:
Hidhuinen, the lake northwest of the Last Homely House, Imladris (28.7s, 5.0w)

Event details:

When: The glorious month of Yávië, when the fruits of the harvest have ripened sufficiently to enjoy together... and the fermented drinks made of grape, grain, and honey have aged properly (with thanks to our friend Sogadan)
Where: By the side of the small lake named Hidhuinen
Whom: Elves may join us, as may Elf-friends finding themselves in Imladris during the month of first fruits
For what purpose: Food, drink, dancing, singing and the playing of instruments, perhaps the recounting of a few good stories.
Wearing what: Your merriest finery, although do be mindful that we will be seated upon the ground. Lósengriol's own members are urged, but not required, to wear the house's colours.

OOC details:

OOC: 3 pm /servertime, 9 pm CET. Although this is an event for Elf roleplayers, Elf-friends may certainly join us if their roleplay stories bring them to Imladris during the early harvest. Dress code is "party time" appropriate to the setting -- white gowns might stain when you sit on the ground (or spill red wine); and likewise sitting on the ground in heavy armor is uncomfortable. (Also we might have to hoist you back to your feet. Awkward.)  Please try not to fall in the lake! Lady Manadhlaer's father Calpacaro was a shipwright of the Falmari. As a result, her reflex is to see a large moving object in water as potential dinner. This, too, could be awkward.

Bring musical instruments, fishing rods, and even pets if you like -- this is a party and we're here to enjoy the lingering warm weather. Timeline is late Third Age; the hosting kinship doesn't know anything about short guys destroying jewelry, but then this isn't a breaking-news event anyway.
