The Valliant Heart: Epilogue

Several days later all of the events from our story finally were coming to an end. Our special day was finally there and I still couldn't believe that we are finally together and ready to be united. The wedding place couldn't be anywhere else but seaside. Near the outskirts of Dol Amroth.  The cove was easy to protect and also hidden enough to keep too curious viewers away. Of course My fiancee's family was there, her mother, father, other rangers and of course Swan Knights of 4th Squadron. It took few days of her parents to convince The Major Commander of the Squadron to come to the wedding. Not forgetting it was not just her there but many others of her house as well, including their family clan leader. Tall and strong looking man, old but still with bright mind. Day was not cold at all and slightly setting sun coloured seaside rocks and cliffs beautifully different shades of red and gold. Knights had  taken their places, both side ten man making the alley and between each man stood a ranger. They all was wearing their finest armours and swords, glimmering and shining in the sunrays like silver and diamonds. Horses were groomed and standing proudly, holding their heads tall. On the reins over their head was placed flowers, red, yellow, purple, orange. After the alley was the guests. Rangers and of course my family side. The altar had a spectacular view to the ocean. Water was clear and waves were gentle. Sand was white, but this cove was not sandy and beneath it was a solid rock that used to be seabed but not anymore. My fiance was not yet to be seen as she was about be walked there by her father and commander, and she did it because of duty of honour. Her mother was alike her, red haired tall woman, surely seen much but with very kind soul wearing very beautiful green gown that reminded me so much of my promotion, when my dear fiance was wearing a green gown as well. My brothers were all wearing their best armour and weapons as they stood on the side. Near them, stood Valanduir who wouldn't miss the chance to see my wedding. My parents were missing though but we all knew why. I had my elite citadel guard outfit on and a ceremonial shortsword. I approached my spot slowly then awaited my fiancee to come. I was smiling. Of course her mother couldn't hold back tears, she was so happy over her daughter and what came to Dol Amroth, Valanduir was safe. Commanders' family stood out with their fine outfits, statemens and officers and of course nobles. Yet even if dressed well, they did not wear a single jewellery. Not even a small gems, nothing. One older ranger comforted my fiance's mother. Seemed that she had quite a few friends. Yet she was still a bid sad as one was missing, her long distanced cousin. She still smiled and gazed at her father who was a ranger, they were all simple rangers and blessed with powerful ally, the Commanders' family. The Major Commander was wearing her ceremonial Swan knight armour, she was so tall and strong, true commander. She nodded and took my fiance's left side while her father took the right side and they began to walk her towards the knight-made alley. What comes to her, my fiance was pure nature child.  Her red hair was flowing free with gentle breeze while beautiful white flowers were decorating her hair attached to a silver tiara with pearls. Her dress was light and she looked like fairytale princess. Finest white silk with silver and pearl beadings. Sleeves were very fine thin fabric and decoration was detailed ornaments of flower themes on the toplines, sleeves till it turned fine fabric wich allowed see through and the bottom lines of the dress. Her waist line was narrow but also beautifully decorated with crystal and silver beading attached with few pearls here and there. She smiled brightly. Her backside of the dress was all the way up to the neck. She looked fragile but yet so strong. Maybe she was made of sunrays gold and red, seawaves like her eyes and white sand like her skin, pure. Her father was very proud wearing his best ranger armory, green and brown colours, humble and simple man. Other side was The Commander, tall and strong, steel lady.  I looked at her with a smile as she walked and waited in silence. As they aproached The Commander gave so small signal that it was barely possible to notice, no orders were yelled as knights rised their swords up to make alley a roof and among them rangers on their side and final spot where a sword was missing was the Commanders' spot. She swiftly rised up her mount and smiled. My fiance's father walked his daughter to my side and handed her over to me. I took her hands and looked into her eyes smiling. "I love you... you look amazing.." - I whispered then to her. She had a hard time holding back tears and she nodded, she was speechless and squeezed my hands while she smiled. She said nothing as she was nervous of that part. Highest councilor who would be non else but The Commanders' clan patriarch and a high Gondorian officer had also rights to do the wedding ceremony. Respecting old ways he came in front of the altar and united our both hands and told us to hold hands united. I nodded and kept looking at her. I could feel her sadness and I was worried about her. The signs of worry was very soon gone and I could sense how nervous she was but the same time so very happy. Breeze waved her hair and a few ranger lads gave a sigh, who would not want to have that kind of beauty? Councilor then spoke. "Today we unite these two to be one soul, mind and heart. Today begins their journey together and may it last for years to come. Life is unpredictable, it brings ups and downs, but with faith, love, trust and steady mind they will overcome the challenges. It will bind them together more strongly than ever." - He then started to speak. I tried to calm my fiancee a bit with my own feelings. I did everything I could so both of us could be happy during our special day. She had calmed soon as she prepared herself to speak. Councilor then spoke again. "The  vows they make today will live eternally." - He said signaling then my fiance who gathered her strenght to speak. Her mother and father were both nervous knowing how hard it was for her to speak and not to ashame herself or her friends and parents. She began then. "My beloved one, there will be not a single day when I do not think of you. My love is always with you, my heart, my soul and my mind. I vow to thee to be your faithful wife, your shoulder when you need it, your strength when you need it. I share with you the laugh and the tears, ups and downs, all the good and the bad. I will be there, your side for better and for worse to share with you anything what life may bring. I will be your loving wife, loyal friend and mother of your children with all my heart, soul and mind." - She spoke clearly, even if her voice trembled at times as she was full of emotions. She looked right into my eyes when she was speaking and she meant all her words, I just knew it. I kept smiling as I looked into her eyes. "My dear, my one and only love of my life. I have loved you from the very beginning and since then I've always been by your side to share my time with you, to share the love with you and to protect you at any cost. You have always been the world to me. And you know I will do anything I can to make you happy and safe. I will make sure that I will be everything you always wanted and I will support and protect us and our children. I love you so much and I will until my dying day..." - I then said with a moved voice. There was even a tear visible in my eye. I was so happy and kept looking into her eyes. "Rings please?" - Counsellor then said. Valanduir approached us with the golden rings and carefully passed them to us. My fiance smiled to Valanduir and nodded with a thank towards him. She then took the ring and put it on my finger, smiling as always and holding back tears. She was so happy. I took the other one and put it gently on her finger. I shed some tears as I looked at her, smiling. "You may kiss your bride..." - The Counsellor then spoke again. She blushed heavily as we both knew that everyone was staring at us but again she didn't care, she just looked at me and giggled nervously. I chuckled quietly. I took her gently and gave her a long kiss. She answered the kiss gently and when it ended she smiled brightly gazing then at the guests."I announce to you Mister and Mistress Thanduil!" - The Counsellor then said and everybody began to clap and cheer. I held her hand as I looked towards the gathering. I still kept smiling. I was so happy. Valanduir smiled at me. He never thought that he will see such a thing.  "Long live the Thanduils!" - He cheered at us then. Araithil and Iarvenil kept clapping, alongside them Iarnuil stood with a girl, Rossirith as they both cheered at us. And so the wedding began, but for us it was even more. It was the new beginning, It was the start of united life of The Valliant Hearts..
