Arrival in Bree-town

Ruadan arrived late into the township of Bree the smell of the town greeted his nostrels before he even laid eyes upon the brown wooden gate. Once he had exchanged a few words with the gate keeper he slowly rode up to the inn located in the heart of the town the bright light of its interior flooded out to the square in front of the structure.

His saddle creaked as he dismounted and he tethered his horse to a post before climbing the stairs to the main door. As the door opened his senses were shook by the volume of noise caused by the patrons inside and it took a few moments for his eyes to adjust from the darkness to the brightly lantern lit room. Ruadan moved around the room to get a better view of those in attendance looking out for the one he sought they called Fiontann.

There was a young comely woman in a bright blue dress whose gaze immediately drew his attention. Suddenly there was the clatter of a plate upon the floor dropped from a group of dwarves who were all oddly wearing masks more commonly associated with play actors. He saw Sigfread a known ranger sat at one table keeping his own company and two more hooded menfolk in attire which would be be associated with wildmen. Were these rangers also, he did not know? They certainly did not attend the recent gathering of Dunadain beyond the Greenway.

With there being no sign of the one he sought he took the chance to purchase a bowl of warm food from Barliman and took it outside to sit nearby on a grassy mound where he could keep an eye out for Fiontann.

At least it was not raining he thought to himself. . . . . . .
