Captain's Quick Report: The White Flames Band at the Yard Party
Heartfelt warmth is to be said of the Hobbits whom dwell within the Shire this day, and amongst the others of the audience and musicians not of halfling-stature, was it also greatly shown how outstanding folk from all of the Free Peoples could gather at such an event as the regular Bird and Baby Yard Party, and together once more enjoy good music and dance!
With the White Flames musicians, as part of the larger kinship known as the Order of the White Flame, it was full of fun and merry tunes, some slow and others quick, amusing stories within the songs, while some simply soothed us with calm melodies without spoken words. From Hobbits, there too were Elves in the audience, even one Dwarf and a few from my own race of Man -- there truly was so great an atmosphere of audience, musicians, and music, that I don't recall there even being one moment of a break or intermission for any food and drink! Hohoho!
But the coming days are to become ever more busy again... and this new month begins with a large number of events hurtling towards us with great speed. The 'Harvest Tales - Songs and Stories of the Harvest' is to happen in just hence a few days time; and then on the thrice day after is the 'OAKS presents Thorn and Roses', this month's OAKS concert within the bounds of Oldfurlong village. Rumours continue that not long after that OAKS, it shall be about the same time that the Shire-Hobbits on a journey to Enedwaith begin the last leg of the travels -- departing from the resting point of Echad Dunann until reaching Maur Tulhau, a mythical Hobbit village west in the Gloomglens of Enedwaith. And surely upon reaching there, a good amount of time will be spent learning of the culture and history of it's rumoured Hobbit denizens, perhaps even a dedicated day just for village hours? Lastly upon the distant horizon, the next event so far announced after all these preceding, is to be the performance of the 'The Aleford Band at the Bird and Baby Yard Party', included within are the Aleford Sisters and Miss Toolee.
There can be little words on my behalf to describe the anticipation with which I must prepare to try and see which of these can be attended on my behalf of the Bree Captain's Guild successfully, while trying to balance the many other tasks and duties necessary of my badge as a travelling Bree Captain! But alas the day continues on, and I shall leave you, Master Reader, with the collections of rough drawings and sketchings to accompany this early report from my perspective of today's event with the White Flames at the Bird and Baby Yard Party. In two words; simply outstanding!

(( Disclaimer: Hello folks, I'd like to caution you that taking a look at the embedded slideshows coming up below will likely not go too well if your in a hurry, and hoping to just get a 'general gander' at what the event was like. The 'Overview Collection' above is more suited for that!
Viewing the albums embedded below is more geared for those folks looking to get a /slightly/ more play-by-play spirit of how things unfolded. In fact, I only recommend having a browse through if for some reason, you have an urge to well... just look at a lot and lot of screenshots -- many of the shot angles/perspectives being repeated in other screenshots but at different times during the event, etc! Thanks for reading. ))
