Gathering Supplies, part 4
((Fourth part of the story))
It was an early morning for Dhordur this day, as he was walking back into Ost Forod. The day before, Hlifa and Dhordur had dragged the cart back up to Ost Forod with Thorlaen on it. He was well now. Dhordur had been out all night, scouting the surroundings, he had seen several bandit camps around and close to the road leading towards Forochel and also near Ost Forod. The most problematic thing he had seen was Dourhands, in one of the camps. They had a meeting with the bandit leaders of each camp there.
The first thing Thorlaen told the group this morning was that he had been in a meeting with the leader in Ost Forod. During the night an arrow had been shot in Ost Forod, with a letter attached to it. It was a demand to give up the Dwarves or get destroyed. Only a few guards knew about the letter as the leader had not made it public yet. But if it came to it he would turn them over as Ost Forod would not be able to handle an attack. This journey had only been problematic for the Dwarves now. Holgi decided to head out to scout for any other way out of Ost Forod and Thorlaen had sent a letter to the Sabâj, to get help.
After a quick breakfast, Holgi headed out. Thorlaen, Dhordur and Hlifa looked over the rest of their supplies. It was not much, they could gather it into their backpacks for an easier journey, it was going to be heavy but easier to move. Hlifa sent away a raven to see if they could have a new mammoth ready when they got back into Forochel.
The next day, after a quick breakfast Holgi came back, reporting in. He had found more camps, to the south even. The bandits were not going to let them escape that easy. Thorlaen went off for another meeting with the leader of Ost Forod. The day passed to evening. Thorlaen came back, he had only problematic information to share with the group. The leader had publicly shared the letter now. The group had been able to notice the Men folk of Ost Forod, glaring at them during the day.
The group went off towards the stables, there a familiar face came out of a bush nearby. Izbad Khlosi, and a small company of Dwarves. The group was happy, the rescue was here!
