Fiontann made it to the meeting point and waited, his eyes and ears keen, scanning the surroundings and listening to every sound in the hills. The spot selected was quiet and near pond, should they need to refresh themselves, the sun would come out soon and the others should hurry if they were to move against the orc encampment. Yet, the time passed and the others were nowhere to be found and Fion was growing restless, this lead him to ascend the hill and look ahead. What he saw worried him, a large band of orcs was movint towards the spot and he couldn't stay there, he had to leave and worry the others. Pulling the dagger out, Fion carved the word DANGER on a tree and made an arrow, pointing where he went to and waited.
Not long after, Sparrow and Arthasdir appeared, with the news of Rothrian, Sigferad, and Pren's capture, they saw the message too late and got ambushed. The three remained above an encampment as Fion explained about the patrols and the guards, where they were and how often they were changing, calculating the position of the sun. To the distance they saw their friends being carried to the camp in the middle, so the three had to move quick. In front of them and to the right three or four camps were scattered, all close to each other, blocking their path, the three had to pass unseen through them. Sparrow was quiet as a woman and a former ranger, but Fion, being a tall and big man, not good at being quiet at all slipped twice and on the third time he managed to break a twig, causing the orcs to see him. The three tood on teh highest ground to keep the advantage despite their low number and killed the orcs in the small camp.
Fion shouted them to hurry, he formed a plan during the fight and it worked out. After the alarm sounded the three killed the orcs that were in the first camp and run back where they came from. The first camp that was under the hill emptied as Fion predicted, since all orcs rushed towards where the horn sounded from. This way the three descended the hill and crossed the river where they started taking out the guards on the bridges. They got lucky since there weren't many guards, it was sport day with fresh captives after all! After crossing the last bridge they saw many orcs surrounding Rothrian and another orc who were fighting. The half orc that Fiontann and Rothrian captured some days ago was right, the folk were disappearing because the orcs were abducting and forcing them to fight to the with the young ones as training or they were sending them out in the wild and hunted them down like animals.
The group was outnumbered but they couldn't leave, they had to fight, they had to do it and save their friends after all. They charged against the orcs, relieving Rothrian from all those cheering and cursing creatures and fought. Fiontann was swift and killed those that attacked him fast, snatching a spear from their hands. The last orc that attacked him got pierced by the spear and Fion grunted with anger. He raised the spear up and dug it into the dirt, imlaling the creature and leaving it there to hang screaming till it would rot. The others kept the orcs while Fion interrogated the leader quick and killed him before taking something from the chest nearby. The fight was almost over when more orcs appeared on the hills all around and the group had to leave.
Fion took Pren on his shoulder and Arthasdir carried Sigfread that were still unconsious, Rothrian was up and ran with Sparrow. The group started running and crossed the bridges, cutting the ropes that they passed to keep the orcs from pursuing and got in the water so that it would carry them away. Just before a small waterfall they got out of the water and made a small camp near the water and made a fire and hunted to get strength. Now they have to make their way back after making sure they aren't followed...
