The strength of the Ox. The fierceness of the Dragon.

The speed of the Stag. The cunning of the Falcon.

The deadliness of the Avanc. The stubbornness of the Boar.

Pren Rhyfelwr, a warrior of the Wildmen of Dunland. He stands tall, especially amongst his own. His shoulders are broad and his arms thick. Sun tanned skin is covered in scars of battles past, and ink markings to tell his tale. His hair is long and wild, tied back behind his head, and across his strong jaw is a rough thick beard. His eyes are dark and three streaks of red war paint adorn his face even when there are no battles to fight.

Treated leather gauntlets nearly always protect his wrists, and rarely a leather cuirass is tight on his chest though more often than not, he lets his scars be shown. Worn hide trousers are held up by a bog-weed belt, and thick leather muddy boots carry him. Always with him is an old hood made out of a bear’s head, made from his time in the Culling Pit. At his waist is always a one handed axe that has seen more blood than most over the years.

Some of his names :

Pren - Meaning Tree, named this because of his large build which is similiar to a tree. This is what he is called to many dunlendings and others who have met him in the North.

Cadwgan - Meaning Glory-in-battle. His true name that was given to him at birth by his father, very few know this name and he barely calls himself it.

Bear Man - this is what many called him in the north, due to his bear hat and his many furs. He is not called this much now he is around dunlendings only.

Berahéafod - this is what the Horse-lords of Rohan call him, meaning Bear Head. Once again due to his bear hat. They have seen him on the raids, a large man riding a large brown horse with a thirst for blood and so they named him Berahéafod.

Background

A man of Dunland who has seen it all. Born in a small roundhouse in the wilds of Dunland, living there for seven years until his father was killed in a raid against the Forgoil. With his mother and sister, they went to the Stag Clan where he learned how to fight and hunt. When he was twelve, he killed his first man. When his mother died of illness, he went into the wilds for a few weeks, found by the Avanc Clan, living in the Dunbog for a time before going to join the Ox Clan. It was here he was put into the Culling Pit and killed the bear which made him a true warrior, providing him with his bear hood.

As the Dragon Clan grew stronger in power and the dispute between them and the Ox Clan grew more, they attacked those that would not agree and captured those they could, and so Pren went to the Dragon Clan, joining in their raids against the Forgoil, his hatred towards them burning and his ambition to defeat them was ignited. He joined the Falcon Clan, though he did not stop raiding, getting more infamous and well known as a ruthless warrior.

He spent some time in the North for two winters, exploring the lands after a request from the derudh. He returned to Dunland, where his rage and hatred grew more. He gathered a clan of warriors and became a Warlord, leading his men amongst others against the Forgoil. A bloody defeat at Helm’s Deep left him close to death, though thanks to the help of the witch, Morydd, he survived and found new feelings in his heart. Now, they live together in the mountains, exploring a new life together.

Morydd teg. Y wrach hardd,
Troi calon garreg i gardd.
Hir a thywyll yw ei gwallt,
Llygaid arian a golwg gwyllt.
Ei chroen yn olau a dwl,
Ei chyffwrdd ysgafn fel cwmwl.
Pren mawr. Y rhyfelwr cryf,
Llaw yn ei llaw, dim cleddyf.
Ei groen tywyll wedi ei greithio,
Paent a gwaed dros ei deithio.
Ei gryfder yw ei gariad,
Ffawd wedi dewis eu pariad.

Fair Morydd. The beautiful witch,
Turning a stone heart into a garden.
Long and dark is her hair,
Silver eyes and a wild gaze,
Her skin is pale and soft,
Her light touch like a cloud.
Mighty Pren. The strong warrior.
Hand in her hand, not a sword,
His dark skin had it's scarring,

Paint and blood over his travels.
His strength is his love.
Fate had chose their pairing.
