*A letter sent to Irwthryth*
Dearest Son!
It begrudges me to hear that your journey have already come to such a sudden halt. Even though this Dagden person is currently hurt. His actions previous to this is not to be overlooked. Remember, if people become a burden more than an aid to you, you will need to remove them from the company. The path you've set out upon will be far from safe and you cannot afford to have immature or irresponsible people traveling with you. Neither is Riddermark in use of them. We need warriors, archers, healers and crafters to be disciplined enough to travel. If you find that some of the company is not ready for the journey ahead, you should send them back to Bree for me to prepare them further.
Things have gone well here in Bree. I have already prepared three more to join your journey and sent them along to meet up with you in Ost Dúrgonn. Their names are Rindar, Gilorthar and Deldryth who all seem seasoned enough to make it through the journey with you. Considering you've already have had a few of your men leaving your company I hope that these three will come to your aid.
I also hope my work here continues this well. Once you reach Moria though I will have to keep the people here rather than sending them onwards to you. However, I feel I'm being watched by eyes of dismay already, I doubt it will be long before someone tries to put an end to our ambitions here.
Know that I miss you much. And I long for the day we shall meet again.

Your father, Irwinn.
