Shortly after the beginning of the Third Age, Diruviel was born in Imladris. Her Noldorin parents had met there after the defeat of Sauron and the days of the Last Alliance; her mother having dwelt there after fleeing north after the destruction of Eregion, and her father returning there to heal after the long years of war at the end of the Second Age. Diruviel grew up in relative peace and has long dwelt in that fair place, despite the growing awareness of shadow creeping back across the lands further abroad.
