Please join us on May 30th, 2026 at 1 PM server-time at the Buckland Faire (32.5S, 62.6W) for a story-based roleplay event set in the post-war period, where users can create, comment, & collaborate on character profiles, stories, event postings, RP guides, & more. This event will include tale-telling & dance competitions, a gift-market, music, & many, many prizes (including LOTRO points, titles, and character frames)!
Thrimidgeday is highly reliant on community participation & offers many unique roles for community members who wish to involve their character in this event in a special way &earn prizes for doing so. For more information, see our roster of unique roles, including opportunities to play merchants, tale-tellers, emissaries, bounders, and more, on the "Roleplayers of LOTRO" Discord server.
Please note that Thrimidgeday is an entirely in-character event. If you attend this event, you must engage with narrative situations & respond to other characters as your character would via the /say or /e channels. Provisional Schedule
The following is a provisional schedule for the Thrimidgeday event. The schedule may be updated as May 30th approaches.
- 12:45-1:00: Emissaries arrive at the Thrimidgeday festival, leading their people (and their lore!) to the Buckland faire-grounds. The gift market opens.
- 1:15-1:45: Springle-ring dance competition.
- 1:45: The gift market closes. A special announcement at the Buckland Faire-stage.
- 2:00-2:30: Tale-telling competition.
- 2:30: The gift market re-opens.
- 3:00-3:45: Surprises.
- 4:00: Firework show. Gift market closes for the day.
- 4:00-5:00: Thrimidgeday ends.
Rules
Characters who attend this event agree to the following guidelines posted around the faire-grounds by Buckland's bounders. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in you being asked to leave the event by a DM or bounder.
- "Don't act funny!", or, Please remain in-character; engage with narrative situations and respond to other characters as your character would via the /say or /e channels.,
- "No goblin-mischief! Keep your hands, tongues, firecrackers, rockets, and aught else to yourself!", or, Please do not harass or troll players who attend these events; this extends to critiquing other players’ RP or spamming OOC emotes, consumables, and items, such as fireworks.,
- "Any outlaws, brigands, or peoples with prior offences are most unwelcome at the Thrimidgeday Faire!", or, Any player who has a history of abusing or doxxing other players is not welcome at these events, and if they attend, they will be asked to leave.,
- If you are deemed to be disrupting this series or its attendees in any other way, you may be asked to leave an event or barred from attending future events.
