Anfauglith started shaking as thousands of warriors marched. The dust clouds which covered their view started to clear away, as if it fled from the army of Himring. So, Sons of Fëanor could see the battlefield clearly, but their army had become visible to friend and foe alike, for their banners were high, their numbers great and trampling of their feet raised the sands of Anfaughlith, clearly showing the direction of the army.

Year of the Sun 472, Midsummers Day, First Age

Diary

((a page of a well preserved ancient journal written in Quenya. Still, it looks so old that it feels like it is about to disintegrate in your hands. Some parts are so timeworn, you can barely make out the meaning..)) 7 Tulié, Year 472, Around Midnight.. We continued our march north-east all day. We have encountered little resistance from the enemy in the passes of Serech. The ground before me has started to change already. It is hard to believe this land was once called Ard-Galen the green.
