Joined by his charismatic and quirky neighbour Ollivier, Galyndor attended what could only be explained as a joyous eve of food, drink, song and tales that ensued throughout the night and way into the next day. With a roaring fire and good company, a marvellously unforgettable festival took place.

The same, again and again.

Desesperation has left a bad taste in my mouth, it was the fifth time I packed up my clothing and books.

Chapter five: Inquiries in Bree.

The very first thing I did on my first day in Bree was to write to Pa and Ma to tell them I had arrived there safely. I tried to imagine how they would feel right now: having to tell me that I am not their daughter and then, shortly after that, for the first time see me leave home for an indefinite time on a possibly dangerous journey. Poor Pa and Ma!

The Failure of Bree

Disbelief, artifice, despair, treachery, exploitation, falsehood, dissemblance, dereliction, plot. What comes next?

Every single thing I've fought against has been conflated in Bree. Bree seems to have failed in every aspect. New Bree is the wild - wild is the old Bree. Bree is the headquarters of organized crime, torture and murder - it is the new Angband.

The Mathom leaves Bree (The Mathom Part2)

Story

Druda awoke early and quickly packed her belongings, making sure the small wooden box containing the recovered necklace was buried safely at the bottom of her pack. Entry and exit from Bree was controlled by the four large gates in the towns’ wall. Druda was keen to keep a low profile following the events in the Prancing Pony the previous night so had decided to leave via a slightly different route. Her rooms in the Mudgate district of Bree had been chosen carefully.

The door was as still.

It did not shift one bit, nor did anyone come inside. Quite an unusual fact for the Prancing Pony, taking in regard it was one of the few attractions found in Bree, if not the only one. Even stranger, one would think, since it was the rush hour. The inn was filled with the humming sound of speech, resembling a beehive. At least two dozens of travellers had walked through the threshold in the past hour, but now the doorknob seemed as if it had frozen in place for eternity.

The morning chorus is all that can be heard in Bree as I make my way to collect the items I agreed to bring to the Market in Combe. I arrive outside the mess hall where the good Lady is waiting several large piles of clothing neatly stacked await transport.

While carrying the clothing we talk quietly although it is not long before we sight folk also heading to the market. I chuckled as she apologised for amount needing carrying I simply dismissed her worries and thanked her for an opportunity to repay her.
