Nyr's Adventures

The Ring-Lore Quest, Entry 20: Eryn Lasgalen

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Some days have passed since last I wrote in this chronicle. There was little time to pen down my thoughts. As I approached the eaves of Mirkwood I hastily sought after a safe place to bury my treasure. I left the cart elsewhere, hidden under vines and branches. The road into Mirkwood is not easily travelled, but not near as difficult with a wagon full of goods!

The Ring-Lore Quest, Entry 17: Into the Dead Marshes.

Story

I must say, I feel a good deal better after a few moons away from the Black Land. The wind's tunes are not as foul here anymore, and the ground below my feet has turned soft and loamy. No more stirring up ashes and dust with every step or sudden quakes deep within the earth, or the smell of sulfur and rust...

The Ring-Lore Quest, Entry 8: Taking Precautions

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

I buried the filled bag of gold from Durthang a few paces away from the cart outside the ruined gate of the Morannon just in case someone would discover the cart in my absence and run off with it. I don't like leaving treasure behind, so I cast some spells over it to make sure it would remain undiscovered until my return. I never truly believed in these spells, nor in runes of power, but dire situations call for dire measures and if the words I spoke help only in the smallest of measures, then I will still utter them.

The Ring-Lore Quest, Entry 7: A Curious Concealment

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

As I heard noises coming outside the vault doors I feared discovery! I looked around for a place to hide but there were none, none except of course the pile of gold itself! I did not hesitate and I jumped under all the gold, covering myself in coins and jewellery. There I lay as still and quiet as I could.

The Ring-Lore Quest, Entry 6: The Vaults of Durthang

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

This expedition has lead to some treasure! It was not easy to get inside Durthang, and getting out of it proved even more difficult. This fortress of old still harbours orc-filth, hiding away in its halls. I risked being found out the further I went. I thought I could sneak passed the guards in the main hall, hoping to get to the room I wished would hold any record of Sauron's secrets, but upon trying to reach the doors to the lower levels I was nearly discovered and I jumped behind a brazier just in time.

The Ring-Lore Quest, Entry 5: Durthang and the Promise of Treasure

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Crossing the dusty planes of Udûn was no easy task, even after the battle that was waged before the Black Gate not long ago. The Men of Gondor that I met there used no words too few to try and dissuade me from my cause and I understand now why. This land is still filled with peril, and the peril most apparent is the lack of living things; no shrubberies carrying berries, no clear water streams or game to hunt.

The Ring-Lore Quest, Entry 4: Allies - but not Friends!

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

I have arrived in Bree and have found soft bedding and good food for the price of but a few coins. The Prancing Pony never disappoints! Though Men have still a lot to learn of brewing good ale.
