The Confrontation

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

She had gone to Cardolan to seek out an old friend who’s wise words might help her but instead she found a host of her friends gathered with many others for what reason she could not fathom.  Amlarad, Oldgrove, Adunzil, Noruien.   Had she missed some summons?

Diary

It has been too long. Here in the peace of my surroundings I lay down my thoughts to parchment, and at last muse upon the yield of the waning years the Third age has to offer. I recall in my youth the moment my features were scorned from lack of skill. I recall how my dear cousin would show me the beauty of every root , moss and tree.

Having gathered fresh provisions from Bree, Filrean set her horse to the Great Eastern road and headed towards Asdo's campsite, she would leave him there and head out to the barrows on foot. On her journey from Esteldin she had since been to the camps of Amarion, Mincham and Andreg. She had also asked Saeradan to send word ahead to Candaith. Now she sought out Halbar in his watch of Cardolan and knowing he would most likely be in the area now know as the great barrows she headed there.

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

We are stood here in the beating rain, four of my kinsmen amongst the ruined pillars as statues of old. Indeed, several of the brigand-folk below have wandered past the old masonry, mistaking our stilled forms for the likeness of bygone kings or sentinels. Our cloaks are useful here, blending seamlessly with the hues of night, scrubbed against the barks of trees and the soft earth that we roam by so as to hide our scent. We watch and we wait. Our senses become aligned with the stones of our forefathers, the rhythmic pitter-patter of the rain our silent war chant.
