The tale of Alanalassë and his twin brother is a long one, for they both have wandered ever since childhood, seeing all lands beyond Lórien, be it at the westernmost shores, the highest north, the deepest east or the darkest south. Their doom came upon them in the familiar land of the Ered Luin, where they were taken by surprise and numbers that not even they could overcome, and their hardships were long and their attempted escapes many, until they both came to the dungeons of Angmar. And there they were seperated at last - and what their fates would have been thereafter none can tell. Alanalassë, so his brother says, is the wilder and more cheerful of the two. He has a little more strength than his brother, and his skills with the blade go beyond that of his brother's.
