A faint line is just barely seen across her face, an old wound that is still desperately trying to heal. When travelling, she wears mostly a long cloak and keeps her hood low, and her sword never leaves her side. |

Background
Morielen was borin in Lothlórien as third child to a dancer and a minstrel. Her brothers, Alancala and Alanlassë that had long not returned to their homeland, hastened back to the golden wood after they had heard news of their sibling's birth, and from that day they made sure to return as often as they could and stay as long as they would allows themselves to, for they cherished their sister more than anything else. So Morielen grew to learn tale and song and dance from her parents, and also tale and song and dance from distant lands, brought by her brothers and taught and told in secret, oft at the shore of the Celebrant or Nimrodel. Her love for all things grew, and ever did she love her brothers' visit, for then she heard new tales of strange places and strange people, of heroic battles and deeds done by her very brothers. As she became of age, a young elf attempted to take her hand, and with her leave the safe haven that was Lothlórien; but her brothers that had returned around that time did all they could to embarass the young elf and any other that would try to wed their sister to the point that they would turn away form her. Though Morielen had understanding for her brothers' pranks, and did enjoy them to some extent, she was more and more loneley whenever her brothers were gone again. And then the day came where her parents bid her to join them to the Grey Havens. Furious for her parents not waiting for her siblings, she left Lothlórien for the first time, in secret travelling with others that would make their way to Eriador, and there she then sought her brothers in the Ered Luin. Nigh did she find them, if it not had been on a day where Orcs and their allies attacked a small camp close to the dwarf-fortress of Thorin's Hall... This was Morielen's first battle, and she was set in shock. Her brothers could not be found, though she was told that they were amongst the fighting. A few days only passed until her parents found her, and they bade her one more time to join them on their journey to the West. Morielen still refused, and she remained for long years in sorrow at Celondim... One day, after having learned the art of blade from the elves there, she gathered her courage and defeated, at least for the moment, her sorrow and loneliness. She returned once more to the place where her brothers had once been, and there, her search began. She travelled across all of Eriador, both seeking out and hints if her brothers still lived and where they were, and also to aid and learn from those that she met on her travels. She spent much time watching the halflings in the Shire, growing fond of their loveley lives, she wandered through bree-land, curious of the Men that were there; and she went to many lands and settlements, stayed long times in Imladris, and she became member of the Rangers under the banner of the Mirkwood elf Alekz and later Vingilotz that would become her husband. And also she joined the Scions of the Golden Tree, learning that her brothers had once belonged to that group, and she carried many messages for the Scions to Evendim and Bree and the North-Downs and many other hidden places. And after many hardships, gaining many friends amongst the four races, escaping death's brink more than once, her brothers were found and she wed Vingilotz at her grandmother's presence. And now, now she seeks knowledge of her mother, of the dancer that lost her voice in days long past...
