Background
Thrauka (Móinn), Frost-Hammer is a wandering Dwarven Scholar, He can be found most often in Bree, the Shire, or nearby areas, most likely telling a story, or two in the local tavern. He has always had an interest in tales, and folklore, and has often asked about the adventures, and tales of the locals, to place in a book. Most often he is seen with a book on the table, and a pen is his hand. writing down the history of his people,in his own book. To keep alive their great stories, and history.
The History of the Fr∅rr Vörðr, And The Exiles.
Whether you believe it, or not, here is the what he has written regarding his people.
Long ago, King Þjórr the Ist, eldest child died. With hatred in his heart for his younger son he exiled him. This was done so that his nephew would receive the crown instead. So in the year 2489 of the Third Age, after being exiled, Brísingr the Old led a small group of Dwarrows out of the halls of the Stone-Foots, and far into the North. After building a great tower named the Fr∅rr Vörðr (Frozen Tower), the kingdom would briefly flourish under his rule, and the rule of his son Alvíss the All-Wise. Once Alvíss had passed on, he left his Kingdom split between his three children. The biggest section was left to his eldest son, Hildingr. And equal parts to his daughter Nali, and youngest son Grimr. Nali and her son had died some years before, and it was never decided what would be done with the land bestowed to her. This led to quarrels between the brothers. Eventually the heat died down, and Grimr became a Vassel, and his fief remained on good terms with his kin of the of Fr∅rr Vörðr.
During Hildingr the 3rds reign, the vast amounts of gold attracted a great Wyrm. And in the year 2948 of the Third age, Fáfnir the Wyrm raided the halls of the Fr∅rr Vörðr. Hildinr valiantly fought off the great beast but lost his life while doing so. His eldest son Thjórr, would take the throne, and begin rebuilding the great city. It was around this time in which the late King Hildingr’s other son Ótr would take a wife and have two children Fáinn, and Móinn, who later took the name Thrauka.
Fáfnir would return a second time in the year 2975 of the third age. Fáfnir would not make the same mistake twice, and this time left the home of the Fr∅rr Vörðr nothing but rubble. King Thjórr would finally kill the beast, (The the aid of a man, whos name was lost, but his sword remains. Gramr.) However, like his father before, as well as his brother Ótr, King Thjórr would die as well. This led his son King Jari to take the throne, and he would lead what few remained of his people to Erebor, the lonely mountain. It was strange that the fief lead by the hiers of Grimr did not send aid during these times, and it is unknown if they still ally with the Fr∅rr Vörðr.
