| Outward Appearance | Istuileth is clearly a Silvan-elf, with dark auburn hair that people insist - much to her annoyance - is "red." She is a tough and practical-minded elleth, evident in her military bearing and a well-maintained sword sheathed at her hip. Her countenance does not often reveal her mood, and she is unfortunately apt to cut others off in conversation in order to get to the point more efficiently. Dressed in the green of her house - and her original home - she is frequently trailed by a small equine friend, Iaur, who bears her surveying equipment without complaint. |

Background
Born in the Greenwood, Istuileth remembers her home fondly -- as in a pleasant dream, before the darkening and the flooding that changed the landscape for ever. Copies of her terrain maps were given to the host preparing to reclaim the Mirkwood, but she was stubbornly driven to journey to Imladris and bring additional copies to the Master of Imladris, in hopes that the greatest minds of Elvendom might find her work of use. While not a warrior by trade, she can defend herself with staff or sword -- skills a relentless inquirer might learn her father taught her. Her sleep seems haunted and fitful, but she claims to remember no dreams.
