a leader of a mirkwood hunting party, Braxius honed his skills on the forest floor. One day however whilst hunting deeper into the forest than was prudent, braxius and his party wandered into a spider lair, braxius escaped with his life, just, the rest of the party didn't, unwilling to return, in shame, to the halls of his kin Braxius left the forest he had known since birth and has never looked back.

Akelay was born and raised in Needlehole. Her mother was a born Chubb, and her aunt Iris lives there still. Her father's family, the Shrublands, were dwelling somewhere on the other side of the Brandywine Bridge, which is considered a strange thing by all Shire hobbits, but an outrage by the hobbits of Needlehole. For a long time Akelay thought that this was the reason why her father never warmed up to them, and left his wife and little daughter many years ago. In the meantime, she has found her father who told her his real story.

As yet, no one within the Warband knows much of Ridarans life before he ended up in Imladris. He hails from Lorian but what role he had there and why that Sylvan realm is no longer his home is not clear. He has hinted of a lost love cruelly slain and of some sort of mission of revenge embarked upon to track down those who killed her, but for now refuses to be drawn further on this matter. Whether his strong mistrust and dislike of the Race of Man is linked to those events is also unclear...

Connolain

Connolain (Commander of the free. Supporter of the king. From the Sinadrin-Gondorian words: 'Cono-' = Commander and '-lain' = Free. 'Tulu-' = supporter '-Taur = king) is a 68 year old, cultured and retired Gondorian commander who received his pension and went to live in the countryside with his wife. He owns a fairly profitable merchant business in Gondor. 2 years ago an orc raid came down from the mountains and slaughtered her while she was tending to their sheep.

I admit, at first it un-nerved me. A tree, with eyes peering out of its bark, like two blinking knot-holes in its wood, branches moving like true limbs... and a laugh from what I suppose was a mouth. But then, I think.. a dog can blink, and laughter is no sign of intelligence. Even an adle-pated fool can laugh.
