A neatly written wax-sealed letter addressed to
Gerebaldo Took - Caras Galadhon - Lothlórien
Dear uncle, Greetings.
I hope my words finds you well.
After receiving your last letter I executed your orders. I fully understand why it was vital for Shire Rose to not be seen any longer as an official group as it has become too dangerous for its members after The Shire Rose Pendant was given into my care and taken back to the Shire.
Nevertheless it was a sad day , especially for Amorey for it is clear to me her heart still lingers on in her memories. I am most concern about her and her health, dear uncle, Amorey is not well. She is now living in Overhill and under protection as you ordered. Indeed the hurt and pain she feels are great, after having to leave Peregrin in fear of endangering his life , but few very close friends as well as the former members of Shire Roseare helping her as they can . Often she can be found playing her music by the pond in Overhill at night, she feels tired, going to bed early, and in the morning she sometime feels even worst. I sent for the wise woman whom you mentioned. I sent a letter to the Lady Morgayn in Breeland as you advised.
Pukiand I are back in Waymeet. Young Puki has lost her sparkle after the dissolution of Shire Rose, and although she still looks after the horses as before, she rarely smiles or laugh, and she prefers not to be seen in public . Little Tahi and her owl Cornelius are also back in Overhill, tending Amorey, however Amorey tells me that the home feels empty, cold, sad, which is no surprise , the days are getting shorter and the nights colder.
I shall wait to hear from you for the best way of action concerning Amorey, and in the meantime I shall keep a close eye on her. I received worrisome news concerning some unusual activities near the bounds on the East Farthing and I think it should be wise to consider maybe moving Amorey and The Shire Rose Pendant to a place of safety.
Protection in and around Overhill has been discretely increased.
yule of Shire Rose
