the rest of the letter is unreadable, half of the stains seem to be from a spilled teacup ....watered out with tears? at least she managed to save the envelope so she could send it to Boop. Even if that too has stain on it, this time unmistakably from the Hornblower's pie
for some reason a ball of gunk and a smell of fish was included in the letter

I'm sure there was no fish in the dishes I sent, or did I add some fish by inadvertence?
Or did I fail to reproduce the elven bread?
Cannot be the Hornblower's pie, I always make sure there are no spoiled pies in there, unlike the original...
Don't worry I'm sure I have something that could help your stomach feel better, yes some strong curative clover beer, perfect pie and mushroom stew should heal you nicely!

the letter arrives full of beer and pie stains, but no text. It appears that the sender either was too drunk to write or simply forgot, or both.. hard to say. the stains indicate at least that she enjoyed the food in a messy way

I guess that means it worked, Paana is fixed even if some brain damage may have been inflicted by the curatives!
So what was it that went wrong with that last meal I sent you and that ended in some very fishy business?
Could it be one of my dishes? Or maybe that kin mate of yours, Heligin, he isn't as good of a cook as he thinks he is and he could have given you some spoiled fishies!
Also it seems there is a lack of care for the members' medical needs in your kin, Mervedis told me anything food related should be directed to Heligin and Heligin disregarded my careful recommendations, scandalous!
Let's see, I could try sending you one by one every dish to see if any goes wrong, let's start with that elven bread, tell me if my recipe needs some tweaking or if it's as good as the original, and if I find another ball of gunk I'll know to completely rethink how I cook it!

Thank you for the bread, it tasted wonderful without any fishiness. But it could also be that I'm not fishing when im eating too.
