The Fourth Age: The Fortress of Old is Lost

Forngarmo woke up and prepared herself for the journey by boat. She left the unnecessary supplies at the campsite then glanced at the weather.
- Hmm... it seems that the waters are calm today. Very good... - She said to herself, moving towards the makeshift bridge to board the boat. She sat down in the boat, giving one last glance to the land behind. She stayed both worried and focused on her task. After a few minutes she glanced back at the water and started rowing her way out. The waters of the bay seemed calm at the moment and that was what she needed to keep going. It has been so long since she last saw the place. Not used to being a sailor, she didn't feel good while staying vulnerable to the freezing waters. Forngarmo 's arms seemed very sore after she reached her final destination.
- Now to find the entrance again... - She said to herself then moved herself and the boat to the icy ground. After all that boat was her only way of going back. She looked at the sky that now has darkened as the snow started to fall again, and the wind was blowing stronger.
- So glad to make it here before the storm..." She said to herself then started to look for the entrance to the fortress - Aha! - Forngarmo then exclaimed as she has found a cave mouth. Unguarded. She had a bad feeling about this but entered the cave silently. She looked around the icy fortress of old and moved slowly and carefully through the corridors,  then spotted the enemies guarding the halls. She moved forward and eliminated them one by one, as silently as possible. Forngarmo climbed up afterwards, following the corridor as far as possible.
- So... cold.... - she whispered after banishing another enemy, a very strong chill went through her body. She looked forward, seeing one of the commanders. She knew she had to eliminate him. She inspected the room then sneaked behind him. Afterwards she attacked from the shadows. The commander however managed to miss his doom and moved quickly through the halls to get reinforcements. Forngarmo felt the chill growing stronger as she moved through the halls, her first attack had failed so she had to catch up to the commander once again. When she did, it seemed that her enemy decided to handle her alone instead of looking for others. Forngarmo clashed against the general, in a very intense fight. She got her forearm grazed by his blade in the process. She stopped briefly to bandage the wound and then moved forward again. The ranger came across a very large room and began to cleanse it of enemies but was found by the second commander in the process.
- Welcome, friends. You are disturbing my plans. This will not do... - The tall commander then said before attacking the woman.
- You will not win this fight! - The Forngarmo then yelled towards him as the two fought fiercely. She managed to kill the second commander but the unnatural chill growing within her body kept making her weaker. The woman kept moving anyway and managed to climb to the top of the fortress only to witness her great enemy, commander Taechoo again. She was right. He was the one responsible for attacks in Forochel. The two clashed viciously against each other.
- You have come to the top and to the end, Forngarmo. A long cold journey it has been, and sadly for you, a fruitless one. Your life will end now. But at least you will join your friends from the village in death. I will freeze you as easily as I burnt them. - Taechoo then spoke as he kept resisting Forngarmo's attacks. She did not give up, the tactic of that fight was changed by her multiple times but to no avail. Soon, she spotted her arch-enemy summoning his powers.
- Freeze now, The Northern Wolf... It is time to use your own powers against you! Prepare for the full force of my fury! - He then yelled and threw the ranger in pain to the ground. Forngarmo 's body was growing colder with every minute, yet she kept fighting to her last.
- I... am not yet done... - She said with a breaking strength in her voice. The ranger knew she cannot fight him alone any longer. She threw snow at the general to blind him and then managed to escape, her whole body trembling with cold and pain. Forngarmo didn't even remember how she got back to the boat. She had no time to waste, not knowing how much strength she had left. She spent it all on getting back to the mainland and the campsite then tried to warm herself up by the fire, but it was not helping with the unnatural chill in her body. She crawled onto her horse and rode towards Suri-Kyla. Which was the closest refugee possible to reach for help. Forngarmo fell down her horse upon reaching the hut of the elders.
- H-Help... - She managed to whisper as one of the guards, Lassi saw the scene and approached her.
- The Jaan Vartija... what happened?! - He said really worried for the ranger as he helped her inside. Forngarmo was brought inside and Yrjana looked at her.
- What has happened?! - He exclaimed but the guard shook his head, not knowing. They laid the ranger with care in the warm spot and covered her with blankets. - Rest now, Jaan Vartija. We will talk another time... -  He whispered to the ranger and that was the last thing the Forngarmo remembered.

The Dunedain woke up two days later, but the chill did not pass. She still felt that her body is extremely stiff for some reason and cold as ice. She had a long talk about what happened with the Lossoth Chieftain, Yrjana and when that was finished she thanked the Lossoth for their help in the most dramatic moment of her journey and then left the hut, going back to get her horse. She then mounted up her horse and got back on her way towards Evendim. She was still weak but she knew that she needed to go back as soon as possible. She was riding most of her time until the weather worsened and the sky started to darken. Forngarmo reached her past campsite and lit a fire for the night. She decided to rest for a while before speeding back on her way, waiting also for the weather to get better. It ended up that she spent the night at the campsite and right in the early morning, she ate some of her rations after waking up and once again, got back on her way. The chill in her body only started to get stronger. She had no idea why but hoped to find the remedy and recover back in her homeland. Forngarmo reached Pynti-peldot knowing that she might need a longer stop there. She visited the horse trader that helped her on her way and thanked him once again. Afterwards she went back to the homeowner already known to her, and asked if she can stop there again. When he agreed, she moved into the hut to rest and hopefully feel a bit better.
