The Bancross Mystery: Announcements at the Market

It started out as a normal day on the marketplace, until the captain of Bancross, Denholm, arrived with news. His announcements were as follows:

First announcement; The criminal known as Criba is, by order of the Thane Averel, hereby released from imprisonment. He is not to be harmed or confronted. However, the captain added by his own account, should the man cause trouble again, he would deal with it personally.

Second announcement; The Thane's personal house is hereby completely OFF LIMITS to everyone, save for those with a written pass signed and stamped by Thane Averel himself. Anyone caught trespassing or otherwise skulking about on the property will be promptly jailed for an unspecified amount of time. No exceptions to these rules will be made. From this hour forth, guards will patrol the area at all times, day and night.

Third announcement; As the Thane understands these are troubled times, he has allowed the use of his mostly empty Mead Hall for the upcoming spring feast to raise the morale of the town. It is up to the citizens to bring food and drink, cheer and good spirits, and decorate and rebuild the Hall as they see fit.

Fourth announcement; Due to all the growing troubles and threats within these lands, the Garrison is looking for more recruits to join their ranks. Should anyone seek a job to protect the town and its inhabitants, and make the Mark a safer place in general, they should seek out Captain Denholm or Sergeant Thilwend.

End of announcements.
