Winter Hunting: The burned caravan

As the people of Bancross begin their journey home with the meat they had gathered during the winter hunt, they encounter a recently burned and plundered caravan along the road between Aldburg and Bancross. Many people paid with their lives in the attack, ill-equipped as they were, and the mere sight of the disaster would hit far too close to the hearts of the hunting company, in more ways than one. Had fate wished otherwise it could've been them instead, and so close to their hometown.

There was only one survivor to be found, a young boy trapped under a turned-over cart. As he was rescued, the unmistakable sound of dark, shouting voices and heavy footsteps came closer and closer from the forest...
