Guilt, Temptation and Wrath: Resurgence

"How can I help her... When I'm already so broken myself." Ryn thinks to herself as she strokes the sleeping Nethrida's hair gently. The broken soul looks over her significant other with a deep sorrow and guilt behind her eyes "I'm sorry Neth..." she says to herself silently "But what do I do... How do I help you..." tears well up in her eyes for a moment before she wipes them away with her free hand and looks over the small bedside table where she had set Astamo aside a few minutes earlier.

Ryn wonders how the ring keeps her so collected. It and the love of Nethrida had somehow gathered the shattered pieces of her psyche and glued them together albeit temporarily, it was still a miracle regardless.

"Please... Someone tell me how to help..." she yells out inside her own mind as she closes her eyes. A figure answers her, though not with an actual solution to her problem, a part of herself she had buried as deep as she could and until Calidis had created Astamo for her had never managed to completely bury in the rubble of her mind. The figure leans in close, too close and puts its mouth against her ear to whisper softly into it with an inhuman voice "She is weak... And so are you..." The figure pauses stepping back before growing larger "But you could be strong!" it yells with a booming voice "If you just follow me." A wide demonic grin would grow on it's face as it finishes.

Ryn very suddenly opens her eyes in a panic and scrambles to put Astamo back on, once the ring is on her finger again she lets out a deep breath and steels herself "No... That is not me... It can't be." she says out loud almost waking Neth up, she covers her mouth quickly before letting out a sigh and returning to her thoughts "I must help Neth... Maybe... Visiting the monument of her company... Will allow me to help her through this... As for the townspeople if they blame her for Yula's death... I can't do much." She moves to stand up and stretch before setting herself up in the nest of blankets by the bed that Neth had initially set up for her own use while they were staying at the farmstead.

The poor woman lets out a yawn as her eyes light up just a tad through her own doubt "I have helped... Even if it's only a little... I must trust what Neth says... Even if I don't think I'm doing anything for her." she says under her breath as she falls asleep.
