last time in Moria EVER

Sitting with her feet in the water near Haldir's talan, Lusseriel had her notebook in hand and started to write immediately:

"I find that I have a problem with dwarves and will never again, Eru willing, walk through the Moria.

But to tell this story in the proper order:

We went back to the Moria to talk to the dwarves. As we were there, we learnt that there were relics that were... Well, dark relics to get rid off if possible.

So we separated in groups and Tindollion, Aireliniel and I ended up somewhere in the waterworks, in tunnels infested with lizards and worms...

And how did they even live there? What did they find to eat when there weren't imprudent elves or dwarves passing by?

Not the point I suppose

Anyway, we managed somehow to find and destroy the relics. And then the dwarves sent us to check on another dwarf about mithril shackles.

Long story short: the dwarves managed to catch an orc, Mazog, and instead of killing him, they chose to believe his lies and to try to exchange it for their missing comrades.

Because that's logical of course, to believe the words of an orc. To listen to the words of our enemies never ended badly, no, not once in history, obviously.

But of course, the dwarves, in their infinite wisdom, decided to listen to the word of their enemy on the off chance he wouldn't be lying through his teeth, over the words of their allies (that reminds me of something strangely...) and to bring Mazog to Mirkwood, the forest infested with orcs, wargs and spiders and where you can find Dol Guldur. Anyway, they decided to bring the orc to Mirkwood to exchange it against their missing friends.

I doubt they're even still alive, whatever Mazog says.

But anyway, some people at least have some sense I didn't think it possible anymore after so long with dwarves plagued with blind trust, and they can't bring the orc through Lothlorien.

Though I almost regret it, I'm sure it'd have been possible to... Arrange an accident for the orc somehow.

I suppose it wouldn't help diplomatic relations but quite frankly running to our death cheerfully on the off chance that the orc MAY have been truthful with us... Doesn't inspire me with much confidence either.

Alas, I'll have to go to Mirkwood too. I had ONE letter to bring and somehow, that one letter multiplied since it became known that I'm a messenger and that I'll be going there.

I suppose that at least I won't be going there for nothing but still, it means that I'll have to wander through Mirkwood and hope that my path will stay the same than the path of another group. If it doesn't... Well, I'll just have to hope that luck is on my side...

I hate those odds. »

Lusseriel sighed and closed her notebook. The night was beautiful, but somehow she didn't manage to relax knowing that soon she'd cross over to Mirkwood.

She had seen the Greenwood once long ago as a messenger too, but to go to Mirkwood after the forest became perverted was not an experience she really wanted.

She wondered a moment what the company would say if she asked if eventually they’d go the same way through Mirkwood, but she ended up sighing : they had enough to do as it was, she doubted they’d have time to bother about her own duty.

Well, she’d just have to keep hoping she’d manage to avoid the giant spiders, the rest she could probably fight or escape from but the giant spiders were, for one, giants, had 6 legs too many, poison and webbing and quite frankly were terrible to imagine.
