Her Thoughts Of Leaving

It wasn't what it may have seemed. Deor had been ill, and I was tending to him when he fell asleep. It was a restless sleep brought on by fever, which led to him rolling about and eventually, over me. But Father never waited for an explanation.
Even if we had both made that decision...the one to be more...intimate...that would have been ours to make. We were old enough, certainly.
But nay. Instead, he jumped to false conclusions and ripped the life of my beloved from my grasp. I could do nothing.
After leaving, I found a band of merchants who took me in, not knowing who I was or why I was wandering. I took up training in weapons, particularly a bow. Providing for myself was now something I needed to know. Learning the herbs of the forest, and how to tend my own wounds. I learned many things in the first years after my departure.
I wandered from place to place, mostly with different groups of merchants. I had no home. No one I could truly count on. I was fully alone.
