Wiping the sweat from his brow, Furley dunked his other hand into the trough of water, splashing it on his faceand breathing out, feeling the fatigue in his limbs after a hard day's ride. It'd been no easy task, setting up the new business, nor had it been the easiest of decisions to invest what little he had left into the company.
"This'd better work" he mumbled to himself, but although he seemed tardy, he was actually in rather good spirits. They had an opening day decided; this Sunday they'd display their wares for people to see, and the possibilities for expansion were endless!
They'd started with hats. Furley had been busy travelling, gathering materials, discussing things with suppliers upon careful orders and sales plans devised by Percyvaelso they got a reasonable deal, and he had sorted out the labour and supply. Now, all they hat to do was sell some.
Sitting down, smiling to himself, he thought about the endless possibilties. They could drive employment up, hire caravans, recruit staff, expand further... and, who knew? Maybe they could even take on the ludicrously priced auction house one day and make things affordable to all.
The more and more he thought about it, the giddier he got. "Feathers me old friend" he said to himself, thinking about his business associate. "We're going to make a fortune!"
