Aeglorond stumbles around a battlefield disoriented and bleeding from a wound in his side. He follows a trail of death and destruction searching frantically for any sign of his friends.
"Kris?! Arlis?! Brandi?!" He calls out passing many bodies along the path, he pauses for a moment leaning on a wall trying to catch a breath. He looks around before finally spotting something... A sword stuck in the ground. He stumbles over to it as fast as he can finally able to discern it as belonging to Kristophor, he searches for the owner hoping that he is still alive. Unfortunately not long after he finds the body not twenty paces away.
"Kris!" he calls shaking his friend a bit. He gives up after getting no response, tears welling up in his eyes from both the pain of the wound and grief for his friend. He presses on finding it hard to stand staggering towards a building seeing another fallen friend.
He makes it to the building tripping on the door step seeing Arlis fallen among many also dead enemies, he crawls through the door in despair "A valiant end... More than I can hope for." he says quietly as he pulls himself to his feet and continues staggering through the building into the next room seeing considerably less bodies in here along with what seems like cells of some kind.
One body stands out among the rest Brandilyn. He rushes as fast as he can to her lifeless form falling to his knees as he makes to her "No... No no no... I knew this would happen." He lingers here for longer than the other two the tears finally flowing freely.
He can feel what little strength he had fading as he pulls himself along trying to look into all of the cells having remembered who and what they were trying to find, he makes it to the final cell looking in as the pain and blood loss overwhelm him, the last thing he sees is... Gustine beaten and bruised in the corner.
Then he jolts awake... Another bad dream. He sits up sweating before placing his head in his hands "This is too much..." he says aloud to no one in particular. He raises his eyes looking around the room to find an empty second bed and a note left for him on the table in between, he reaches for the note and begins reading.
