Tired... And wanting more.

"One day, you will tire of this dangerous life you lead... Or you will die, alone in the wild."

This line rings out in his mind, more often than he would like as of recently as he takes aim at a stationary boar. He looses the arrow he had drawn but utterly misses his target cursing under his breath. He slings the bow over his shoulder as he moves to collect the arrow and catch the trail of the boar, he shakes his head a pang of regret in his mind.

Had he been correct? Was my Father correct in his prediction? Lately the loneliness has been getting to me.

He quickly shakes these thoughts out of his mind, at least for now. He sets his mind on the task at hand following the trail of the boar, fortunately it hadn't made it too far and he quickly caught up to it. He lines up the shot but again in the moment of quiet before taking the shot the thoughts return, this time though he hits the target though not fatally so the task is not finished.

"You will want more... A life, a family... But when you do you will be too scared, too set in your ways, you will not know how to approach it."

He pinches the bridge of his nose and shakes his head trying to focus on the task at hand, he finally catches up to the crippled boar moving to carefully finish it off. After doing this he leans heavily on a nearby tree lost in thought.

Father was right... Everything he said was right... I am tired and alone... I can't do this any more.

Once again he shakes these thoughts from his mind looking back to the boar quickly moving to complete the more gruesome parts of the hunt.
