Just like That?

After a short, yet heated exchange of words and insults between Brinira and Mortanas, Kaiell was taken to Draugmir as a prisoner, unconscious half of the trip. Charged with attacking a fellow commander, Kaiell was perhaps saved from death only by Bri’s words – for she claimed the man was a Dunadan Ranger, like herself. After arriving at Draugmir, Kaiell unexpectedly found himself face to face with a familiar man he’d once met in the Prancing Pony…

Alestair Wolf, with his cloak wrapped about him, stood in front of Kaiell as he looked down at him. “So... you interfered with an assault on an apparent commander during the ambush. Why?”
“The elf was attacking a friend, who happens to be with the enemy,” Kaiell replied. “Or happened...” he added softly, feeling a sharp twinge of emptiness from the words.
            “A friend?”
“Yes, you wouldn't understand. Or maybe you would, for all I know.”
            Alestair crouched down. “Try me.”
Kaiell hesitated, eyeing the man. “He's my brother... forced to do the enemy's bidding. But could possibly be freed from that... now if you just release me, please, then maybe... maybe he can be saved.”
“And he was not killed on the battlefield?”
            “...I don’t know.”
Alestair seemed to think about that. “Hm. Tell you what... you can go,” he said, to Kaiell’s wonderment.
