Sadly, some of our supplies, our horses, and three of our kin: including Orli had fallen to Brigands. I knew this would happen, but I didn't think it would happen this soon. We ran of course, as they outnumbered us, but more-so that I believe we simply were just overwhelmed, and fear had consumed us, so we ran. We ran and ran over the green hills, and our feet seem to always crush a mushroom with every second step. Though, most of the Dwarves in the caravan seemed eager to return once we had fled, seeking revenge, and I promised them this. "Ye all will have your revenge, for three of our kin has fallen, including Orli, the second and leader of our caravan, but I am now the leader, by decree of Orli himself. We will make way to the nearest inn, drink and eat, then move on to Bree-town, and seek and learn what we may, then. Then shall we find the brigands and kill them, by Mahal I swear this!" and all of this, I was speaking truthfully. We stopped at the Golden Perch in Stock, still in the shire, and that is where we ate and drank. We crossed the Bridge near Buckland and continued on our journey to Bree-town. Angollon had remarked about the Eldar days, or something like that. I know not of which he speaks. But bless Mahal we had arrived at Bree, and went to the Prancing Pony, had some ale, and went down to the Market, from which we looked around. We bought some pears to resupply some of our missing food stock. A female Hobbit vendor sold us four pears, I believe her name was Pansyblossom or something like that, I think. I was able to get a large crock of Strawberry jam from her as well, then I met Angollon at the Scholar's archive, and we spoke more, then I retired and slept.
