Sigfread says, 'Stand up...'
Sigfread shifts in his emotion. He appears to be somewhat angry perhaps. It is not quite sure
Hithfaerwen did so, letting out a small sigh. She turned to face him, showing the familar face, the green-grey eye, and the scar on the right side of her face. It ran from her hairline to her jaw, covering her eye, which was a pale white. She forgoes the eyepatch.
Sigfread says, 'So... What game is this? Whom sends you?'
Sigfread says, 'Do they really think they can torture my mind with such simple tricks?'
You say, ''There is no game!''
Sigfread says, 'My daughter is dead. I saw her body... I saw her gear. There was no mistake'
Sigfread says, 'Mauled by wargs...'
Sigfread says, 'So I will ask you again... Who... are you.'
Hithfaerwen spoke, with a raised voice. From the table, she presented a dagger. He would find it familiar, as it was Nethdir's. "I am... I.. I'm. Ayliyn."
Sigfread would feel his eyes tear up but yet keeps as stoic a face as he can ''Impossible...''
You say, ''Possible.''
Sigfread says, 'How....'
You say, ''Did you simply leave my body? My gear? Did you see me and leave me to decay? I remember seeing naught of you when I was attacked... Are you sure you saw the right body?''
Sigfread says, 'It bore your crest...'
Sigfread says, 'I rode through day and night to see it in Esteldin....'
Sigfread says, '...'
You say, ''My crest is the same as any of our people. I was not mauled by Wargs, Father.''
Sigfread says, 'Your sword. Your bow... your quiver'
Sigfread says, 'It was all there'
Hithfaerwen shook her head.
Sigfread turns angry ''I know what I saw!''
You say, ''And you saw wrong!''
Sigfread says, 'Why! Why now! After so long!'
Hithfaerwen snarled quietly, setting Nethdir's dagger onto her belt for safe keeping. "I had my reasons! After I was attacked, I fled. I couldn't see... I remember it going black, and waking up in a farmhouse, being tended to by a Farmer's Wife..'
Sigfread says, 'And you stayed over there. All that time?'
You say, ''All this time I resided in solitude in the North Downs, up until the following weeks. So much time had passed, I didn't even bother to place myself back into your lives. To turn your worlds upside down..''
Sigfread says, 'I suppose now was the right time for that?'
You say, ''For me, this was the right time...''
Sigfread says, 'Did you consider it would be for me?'
Sigfread says, 'I searched for days hoping the body I saw wasn't yours'
Sigfread says, 'I grieved for a whole month'
Sigfread says, 'I moved on.... with pain. I married.... I lived through it all once more...'
You say, ''You do not think I understand your pain? Yes, you grieved! You grieved because you accepted my death. You moved on, married. This is why I waited. I waited because I was at odds with returning myself...''
Sigfread would not be able to speak normaly anymore. The tears in his eyes can be heard in his voice ''Why.... What could possibly make you think your father didn't want you back as soon as he could...''
Hithfaerwen had no tears. It was her turn to be stoic. "I was unable to move, the pain to great, writing was difficult, contacting the others... I did not bother.'
Sigfread says, 'So you did not care about your old man...'
You say, ''I cared deeply for you, but when I left, I had just reentered your life after thirty years!''
You say, ''You had a new life, with new people..''
You say, ''I was simply a part of your past.''
Sigfread says, 'And I wanted nothing more then my own blood to be a part of it'
Hithfaerwen felt her brow knit together. Her fist unclenched and she pinched the bridge of her nose.
Sigfread calms himself again. Turning stoic once more
Sigfread says, 'No response I see...'
You say, ''I do not understand how this is now my fault!;'
You say, ''I brought myself here, when /I/ was ready!''
Sigfread says, 'That is the problem is it not?'
Sigfread says, 'When you were ready. It doesn't matter if I am does it?'
You say, ''How can you be so close-minded to this..?''
Sigfread says, 'I suppose I should welcome you back then and praise you for taking a nice time to get comfortable.'
Sigfread says, 'While I was destroyed. Only Ayiana has managed to spark a little happiness in my life of late...'
Sigfread says, 'Your death broke me Ayliyn...'
Sigfread says, 'More then any in my life. More then my own mothers death'
You say, ''You seem to have become comfortable with those of Bree-Land. Learned their ways - Took to heart their ways of feeling betrayed... I am your Kin, and you blame me!''
Hithfaerwen looked angry, tears welling in her eyes.
Sigfread says, 'Betrayed! I am the betrayed here!'
Sigfread says, 'I cried for nights! Wishing you back.....'
Sigfread says, 'And now you tell me you needed to be comfortable before you could return to me'
Sigfread says, 'I've tirelessly hunted down our enemy in revenge of you... Days on end...'
Sigfread says, 'How dare you tell me I betrayed you.'
Hithfaerwen bit her tongue, shaking her head. "I was right. I should have stuck with my gut and just never bothered!"
Sigfread says, 'All I ever wished for was your return. And here you are. Telling me I betrayed you....'
Sigfread says, 'Not even caring for my heart in this...'
You say, ''You betray me in this moment, blaming me for the pain you feel upon my return. That I took too long!''
You say, ''For not thinking of you?! How dare you! I thought of you every day, Ada!''
Sigfread says, 'At least I can leave the nightmares now...'
Hithfaerwen shook her head, wiping her eye and covering the bottom half of her face as she broke down.
Sigfread can't help but show sympathy for his daughter ''It matter not...... You are back....''
Sigfread says, 'I suppose I should not ask for more...'
Hithfaerwen shook her head. "Back? How can I return when I am blamed for this...?!"
Sigfread says, 'That is up to you'
Sigfread says, 'I have a friend with a deadly wound. A brother in troubled mind and sorrow...'
Sigfread says, 'A company of friends broken...'
Sigfread says, 'I... I can't do more... Ayl...'
You say, ''Then return to them..''
Sigfread says, 'I am getting to old. The burdens become too heavy'
Sigfread says, 'Know that I blame you for nothing...'
Sigfread says, 'All that I wish was that you had written me sooner..'
Sigfread says, 'No blame... nothing...'
Hithfaerwen furrowed her brow, shaking her head as she wipes her eyes. There was a hiccup through one of her sobs.
Hithfaerwen took a moment to think. Before responding. "Does. Does this friend need healing, Ada?"
Sigfread says, 'She does...'
Sigfread says, 'She is Fiontann's daughter....'
You say, ''May you take me to her?''
Sigfread says, 'This way...'
Sigfread looks over his to her
Sigfread says, 'Welcome back Ayl..'
Hithfaerwen offered a small smile, brushing past him to go to her bag.
Hithfaerwen walked over to her mare and grabbed her satchel before catching up.
Sigfread says, 'Her wounds are bad...'
Sigfread says, 'An old friend took care of them'
You say, ''I'm guessing it wasn't enough..''
