Captain's Quick Report: Come enjoy the "Full Moon"!

Dear me, how busy have I been the last few days... one thing after another continues to hound me with urgency, and the need to accomplish one thing before starting another!  With the delay seemingly past, I can now turn my attention to wrapping up this intended early, and rough report on the splendid evening and entertainment that was the musicians 'Polnolunie' present in Oldfurlong for the first OAKS of the third seasonal year running!

It was a fantastic occasion that did not disappoint neither I, nor many ( if any ) of the other spectators whom had come to the bounds of Oldfurlong village to listen.  Having already made a fair name for themselves through many other performances in our lands over the past year or so, the Polnolunie excelled with diligence in their repertoire which includes many moving, stirring, and saddening songs that tell majestic tales of love, mourning, and beautiful haunting tunes with often understandable lyrics to go with the melodies.  Some of the tunes had the most strangest of exotic words of course, colorful language in whomever's native tongue that such as the Polnolunie may have encountered while creating or learning the songs -- but it was nevertheless most engaging to see what each song would bring with it's melody and storied singing, by none other than Master Gerhalt himself, whom continues to appear to be a crucial leader and organizer in the musical group's activities.

Throughout the sunlit hours of day, and then into the hours of night, it was a most outstanding gathering as ever for music, and enjoyable listening for local residents, passing travellers, or visitors from ever farther away come particularly for the event.

Not only did news of the next OAKS to come get announced for many a-folk to schedule in, for the future, but a chance eavesdropped conversation between the editor of the Bramblebury Gazette and the president of the Shire Angling Club revealed promising leads that another trip was planned sometime in the next Month to the joy of many Hobbit-folk most certainly.  Articles no doubt will soon appear detailing each event in the weeks to come.

Close to the end of the final song -- and after many a moving, and sometimes even amusing but sorrowful tune was had -- the Polnolunie gave their thanks to the audience, and the crowd in return cheered their appreciation and warm tidings for an excellent time in the beloved tradition of the Oldfurlong Amazing Koncert Series.

Events like these are excellent in atmosphere, warmth, and joy of music shared with many others with similar passion and admiration for the power instruments, voices, and music itself brings to many Free Peoples across the land.  Dear Master Reader, you would be most encouraged to keep forth an eye for future news of such happenings you might be able to make for in time for attendance -- these are gatherings with folks whom welcome you cheerfully, and barring extremely poor behavior or conduct, will otherwise let you into their hearts and culture of celebrating music together with attendees of outstanding quality.

Well done, Polnolunie!  And as ever always, to the lovely organizers and helpers making forth such events the fine occasions of culture and celebration among the Free Folk they are!  Wonderful.  Keep onwards!

Signed,

P.S.

The immediate days ahead foretell of plenty more celebrations and activities among the Free Peoples as ever; Elves in lands far towards the east somewhere deep into what is known as the Trollshaws will be having, as rumours go, something called the 'Tarnin Austa Celebrations' in tidings with the summer season soon to come.

A 'Summer Poetry Competition' has found itself an article published in the Bramblebury Gazette, and particular mention is given that all races are welcome to attend, and participate.  And the day after that is still the apparent 'Odd Socks Hat Party' as well, mysterious as it sounds!

More events will, as always, likely arise through event listings and articles throughout the towns and settlements of our land; as the organizers find time to publish them.  There are also many regular, weekly occasions which many folk continue to uphold as longtime traditions as well -- such as the fabled 'Hall of Fire', 'Ales, Tales & Riddles', and 'Green Dragon Friday' or the 'Michel Delving Market' which is every two weeks instead.  Of course depending on your race and residence, one or the other might be more local and suitable for your attendance, hohoho!
