Dreams of the past

The air was filled with the smell of smoke, Fion looked around him, he couldn't see many things, everything was blurry around him, his vision was failing him as he could see nothing around him. He kept looking around, smelling the smoke of burning flesh, he could see something burning, he could also see the trees around him, as well as the hill to his left, something made him look down, at his hands, he could see them clearly, there was blood on his hands. He heard some steps and turned around, someone was near him, the figure's clothing was brown, and the head seemed red.

Fion couldn't tell who it was, but he knew that he knew that person. They exchanged some words but he could hear not say anything, yet he knew that they talked to each other, the only thing he grasped from the conversation was the word An, he heard himself saying it. Soon the fire started again, everything was burning around him, he looked at the sky, at the stars, for some moments before looking all around again as the heat was getting stronger, they had to leave. As he made a turn to do something he felt a sting to his leg and then the feeling of hot blood flowing from the wound.

A horn echoed through the trees and Fion started running as fast as he could though the injury wouldn't let him, he could hear himself saying "An", many times, holding his sword in his right hand. The sound of the burning wood got soon covered from steps as some armed people ran from all around and him trying to get away, calling "An". As he ran, almost blind, he hit something and fell down, his head in pain...

He woke up with a terrible headache, remembering the fire he got up immediately, thinking that the farm he was guarding was on fire but it was just his dream. He looked up, at the sky, thinking and he realised that in his dream his was North from Bree. That red headed person must have been named An or something like that. In the distance he saw his employer and made his way towards him to get the day's pay, after that the Prancing Pony awaited, and information about the North, with at trip in the back of his mind. He knew that something awaited him there.
